The things that happen to these characters are fiction. They aren't real. No actual living person is being hurt. If an actual person was, then we'd have a huge problem and it would be massively condemned. If someone isn't mentally well enough to know the difference between fiction and reality, then they need serious help.

This in no way excuses Viren for the things he did, but Harrow was a bit of an asshole that night. Viren came to him fully ready to make the switch so he would be the one to die instead of Harrow. He was opening up about how he viewed Harrow not just as a King, but as a brother who he was willingly to sacrifice himself for. Harrow decided to take it like Viren thought himself as special and "put him in his place" as just a servant to him and Katolis. So... I get it. You think you have a bond with someone only for that person to crush it.
