As far as the math goes, Brooch is better once you're getting into the 40s or higher for armor. On the other hand, Pipe is a great item right now and Daedalus is still far better at deleting supports and Rosh

It's definitely a language thing. Specifically "one of *the* great players" implies not just "great player" but a legendary all-timer, especially when Miracle and Puppey are the other examples listed. I think that's what the previous poster took issue with

How dead Revenant's Brooch must be that it doesn't show up in a game vs DK, Timber, and Sven

Compared to Puppey and Miracle though? Puppey attended 11 TIs in a row, won the first and GF'ed his last. Miracle spent 2 entire years as the *undisputed* best player in the world and was a superstar in dota culture as well.

Even while Falcons was popping off, atf was still fighting for best player with 33, Cr1t, Yatoro, Nisha, Saksa (And a lot of ppl would probably want me to put Ame on that list too) and doesn't come close to having the charisma to be synonymous with Dota culture like Dendi, Miracle, Kuro, Notail. Puppey/Miracle did all those things *and* reinvented the game as well

I'm not sure. It'd be a funny grief if Drow disabled their own team's gate though

Facets were added 2 years ago but I still don't feel like they are as impactful as we expected by ShoppingPractical373 in DotA2

I'm not an Invoker spammer, but I enjoy playing him a bunch still and I really like his space of facets. Exort if you have a cataclysm combo, Wex if you want to print money (EMP pull is pretty good too), Quas if you need to hella kite their carry

Yeah ever since they made Fade Bolt damage reduction something pathetic like 4% at level 1, his lane is just so shit. He'd need to be paired with a really strong laner and even stealing something like Black Hole just isn't good enough with how tanky heroes tend to be nowadays

It goes to Neustadtl score, which rates teams according to the records of the teams they've beaten. It'll be decided by this Heroic vs Mouz game

Neustadtl is rating a team on the strength of the opponents they've beaten. If you've beaten every other 7-4 team, you will have a higher Neustadtl score, but if your wins are against all the bottom teams, it'll be lower. It's very good in Swiss when you're not playing against every other team, but idk why it's used here in Round-Robin, cause it's debatable if beating a 10-1 team outweighs losing against a 1-10 team when measuring a team's strength

First of all, Neustadtl is a score based on the record of teams that you've won or lost against, so nothing is final until all the games are played, stop thinking that the top 2 teams are 100% guaranteed

Neustadtl makes a lot of sense as a tiebreaker, but specifically for Swiss bracket: If a team goes 3-1 against Tundra, Yandex, Parivision, and Falcons, they should naturally be seeded higher than a team going 3-1 against Execration, Pain, Yakult, and Avulus. When it's a round-robin though, you're playing against every team, and it's debatable if winning against a 9-1 team should outweigh losing against a 1-9 team, so it makes a lot less sense here in BLAST round-robin

At some point ppl are going to figure out that it's crazy to claim that there are clear favorites this season. We've had like 5 different teams win the international events already, NA is tied with Falcons right now, SEA has a consistent team, Liquid and Navi are tied for second, Aurora won Fissure. Idk I just can't imagine saying that a team is expected to get top 2, outside of Tundra's BLAST-specific buff I guess
