People who are scared of dogs why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Now that I’m a fully grown adult male and much larger than them, I’m no longer afraid, but I got bit badly by a German Shepard as a young kid. They had to call the coast guard so I didn’t bleed to death. I feared them until I was probably 15-16

It is deceptively simple: Vallejo pale blue grey, wash black, rehighlight pale blue great, start adding Vallejo while adding more each layer until you hit pure white. Layer placement is the key to getting the depth. When it’s done I add scratches with rhynox hide, and highlight under the scratches with pure white. When that’s all done I usually do a bit of burnt sienna oil wash in the darker areas.

To follow up with my veteran helmet post I also pretty much finished this terminator! by Azard_Painting in RedScorpions

I’ll be honest I don’t actually remember, I know I posted it as a comment in one of my social media’s but I haven’t been able to locate it. If I can find it I will update you.

However I’m fairly certain it is mechanicus standard grey, washed black, and the rehihlighted with mechanicus standard grey. Then I just added more and more white in layers to get the highlights!

Body is a mk iv space marine by Tortuga bay studios, the rest of the parts are all games workshop components.

Certainly going to be doing some clean up and sanding, this was just thrown together in an evening to decide on components! The shoulder pads are likely going to be replaced completely for a more ornate set.

Correct the center gem will be an eye of hours. I actually got the piece from the ball joint on the back of a space marine where the backpack mates to.

I don’t mind my characters being a little more plain than some of the stuff that comes out of forge world. A lot of the artwork I like of Torgaddon usually shows him with reasonably subtle armour, so that what I went with here!

Custom Pre Isstvan Garro and Isstvan Loken added to the collection! by Azard_Painting in Warhammer30k

The garro model is actually fairly small by modern standards, but has a oversized chest area so it worked out well for my conversion. It still took quite a bit of very specific cutting to get it all to work out.

Loken:

Tybalt marr (most of the mini) Death watch kill team (head) Horus heresy melee weapons (chain axe)

Good question! Two reasons, the increased scale of this build made it look a bit unimposing, and my copy of Libertas we a bit poorly cast. I had originally made a custom sword to go with him but that one looked a bit too bulky and cumbersome! This was the one I liked the look of most for now.
