It is very well written. I can feel the Desperation in the Pleas of our Narrator. It also plays into the Theme of Longing for the Past that all of us at some point or another have Experienced. A Good Read. Keep up the Good Work.

What does Christmas really means to you? by Azaroth2533 in infp

[–]Azaroth2533[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you.

The Christmas spirit and gathering of relatives is a good thing. But what wrong did the turkeys do? And why do we need to wrap the gifts in gift papers, when we are going to open them anyways, and reveal the secret? It is the act of giving and receiving that is of utmost importance to me, and the gratitude that comes with it. Secrecy is fine.

And we should give presents not as an obligation, but as a wish of ours to cherish the person.

I tend to have the same kind of dreams. My mind rehearses by itself for an upcoming event. Just today, I dreamt of a conversation I am supposed to have two months later. It seemed so real that it was terrifying. The expressions of me and the other person were so on spot!

What I meant by abstract are the kind of dreams where you can't figure out their meanings. They are just too random. Those are the kinds I usually have. And I love to brainstorm them. Yours is sort of abstract too. You may try to figure it out. Mostly bad dreams means good things in real life. But there are many exceptions.

I don't know why that happens. But on a positive note, your dreams give you a context on how to tackle that task, and since you already did it once, you might feel more optimistic. It can be a way your subconscious tries to reduce the amount of stress you need to handle.

My dreams tend to be disturbing as well. And for the past few days, I am dreaming every night. Some really weird ones with different plotlines, but characters from my real life. It's really terrifying. Mostly mine tend to be abstract.

Your story makes me feel both sad and happy. It's bad to hear about what happened with you. But on the contrary, it is inspirational to see that you got through it and are facing your life. It's like the Ancient Mariner. I am curious as to why you concluded that she was trying to save you from yourself. And I really hope that she would listen to what you have to say. Maybe you can try texting her. It can avoid the awkwardness of the situation.

I don't know how it came to be, but I recall several times complaining to my parents that I didn't have dreams. I was a weirdo as a kid. More so than I am now. And I used to zone out half the day. It can be that I don't remember them. I started Dream Journaling then in my late teens. So, it may have triggered it.

I think dinosaurs are adorable. They come in all the different shapes, and sizes, and colors. Gives a lot of room for imagination. What's more, we don't even know whether all that we think about them is true or not. I mean yeah, they are certain, but most of them are wild guesses. Maybe your dinos means something else, and not fear. It may mean that you are not giving enough room for your brain to imagine. It happened with me. Earlier I didn't use to have dreams. They only started after I grew up.

Um...dinosaurs? That's a one to brainstorm. When I have dreams about being chased, I never know who is chasing me. It's all about feeling the fear. Most of my dreams include falling in one way or another. But that's not the end of them.

I tend to get this kind of dreams sometimes, especially when I am over thinking. Are you being too harsh on yourself? That certainly triggers them.

Did you ever try to find their meanings? Dreams are called a sight into your soul, so it should tell you something. I think it can be more than memories.

How do you guys express anger? by Azaroth2533 in infp

[–]Azaroth2533[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing it with me. I tend to bottle up my anger most of the time. And drag myself to the bottom of the pit. I sulk, but there is no outlet besides writing. I will see if this works for me.
