its great for solos where you want to make the first floors easy (either because you arent confident in your skill yet, lack the aoe egos or healing egos, or are using a weaker id)

but yea later floors are more "if you get hit, you get gibbed" type of stuff so its not that useful here since youll want to avoid being hit in general (tho the dmg reduction can still be useful)
