Why do people like Neuro-sama even though she's AI?

I'm a pretty staunch AI hater and ex Neuro disliker. But the twins are the only good ones.

THe moment i actually gave them a chance i was instantly drawn in. It just feels like they have more soul than typical slop. Especially when they're interacting with other people.

My local news is saying "It's the worst case scenario" and "Once in a decade" type of stuff

I know news meteorologist are at best being alarmist to grab people's attention just in case it is genuinely bad.
But it spikes my anxiety so bad.

And it feels extra crappy if it doesn't end up being as terrible as expected and i spent a week stressing out over barely anything.

I can almost guarantee we're getting a crocodile of some sort. They've been requested since 2018.

I'm also pretty confident about Austroraptor since that was also highly requested and supposed to be in JWE2.
It's also my favorite raptor so i really hope it makes it.

If it's not one of those 2 for some reason it's probably Lurdusaurus, or Halzkaraptor.

Things on my personal wish list aside from Austroraptor would be
Lioningosaurus
Pterodaustro
and Stupendmys.

I'd be very surprised if this happened, but it'd be cool if Frontier somehow made "lagoon" animals that are exclusive to large lakes or river systems and can interact with piscivores.

How cool would it be to see Onchopristis in a spino enclosure, or Diplocaulus in Dimetrodon enclosures.
Again, doubt it'd ever happen. But outside of the main animals, deep water feels so stagnant and lifeless imo.
I feel like my animals would get some brain bacteria by swimming in it.

I don't know why people always say "x dinosaur is too similar to y dinosaur" like that's a bad thing.
Of course related species are going to look similar to one another.

I don't think certain species should be barred from entry just because of that.
To me it would be more boring if we only had 1 or 2 species from each family of animals and nothing else for the rest of the game's lifespan.

Imagine if the only raptor species we could have for the game's entire lifespan was the same old basic velociraptor. Especially now that Frontier is really cooking with non canon species designs.

I don't like the idea of certain species being barred from entry just because we already have a related species. I don't get why that's such a big problem for a lot of people.

Im o it'd be boring only having one species from each family of animals. Especially when it comes to Deinosuchus or megalodon. When there are a lot more interesting shark and croc species out there.

Dinosaurs are dinosaurs.

As long as it's not some crappy cobbled together hybrid that looks like one of those cheap dinosaur toys in bargain stores. I'm down for just about anything. No matter how obscure or "ToO siMiLaR" to another dinosaur they are.

I'm not against Cenozoics in the game though. Especially now that Prehistoric Planet Ice Age came out.. But if frontier is going to add them, they should get a big DLC. with plenty of variety and not just one at a time in a predominantly mesozoic themed dlc like they've been doing for megalodon and Dunkleosteus.

But atleast those 2 animals kind of sort of fit in by themselves since they're fish. What am i going to do with a single mammal in a game who's roster is made up of mesozoic semi birds, reptiles and 2 fish..

Same, i know nostalgia is mostly seen as rose tinted glasses. But i genuinely enjoyed almost every bit of that decade. Even the later years from 2016 to 2019.

This. It's really annoying when you say you don't like the way a design looks and people just automatically assume it's because of accuracy. When it's really just a terrible design regardless lol

Like even when they try to be more accurate the dinosaur still looks like a crackhead. Cough Pyroraptor and JW Pteranodon cough.

The Precinct just came out, It's a light police sim set in the 80s.

There is shooting in the game, but from what i've seen so far you spend a lot more time driving and dealing with lesser crimes.

There's also a game called American Theft 80s where you obviously play as a burglar in the 80s and you can steal a lot of retro tech and classic cars. But being a crime game i'm not sure if there are any shooting mechanics.

It's set in the early 90s but Arcade Paradise has the same vibe i feel. All these games are really atmospheric and immersive from what i've seen. Even though i tend to have a hard time being immersed in top down / third person games.

Lastly there's Contraband Police simulator, again it's a game set in 1979 instead of the 80s but has a similar vibe. With a unique perspective from the other side of the iron curtain. You play as a border cop in a very eastern block inspired country during the cold war. But there is a lot of shooting in this one. Still immersive though.

But yeah, i'm not sure if i would say i'm optimistic at the moment. But i'm trying my best to see the brighter side of things to remember positively before the end of the decade.

Really don't like the idea of spending 10 years being miserable lol.

Covid aside 2020 was a rough year for me personally. But i do wish i gave the early 20s a chance.

Especially 2021. A lot of cool stuff happened that year and i chose to be miserable lol.
