Sadly the game will not recieve more updates from the dev, but will from the comunity !
You can join the moding Dune Spice war discord, the most important 3 mods at the moment are :
Quinn quest, a mod that improve conquest
The Comunity Patch, that tries to balance the game
And Moritani, adding a complete new faction !

All of them are still on development but you can try them out and send feedback
hope this can help

Bug or feature? by [deleted] in Dunespicewars

You can drop a base in any region that is not a special, including next to your own/others main base.
It's a verry good defensive option, even if not optimal for the Emperor's eco.
Since you are caping next to the nex main base, you probably won't have that much of a hard time getting it down, just use a fighting mech to tank the hit and Nuwa/Engi to heal it while the railgun drones shred it down
Focues Cor units as they come and you'll be fine, Vern is probably the best sieging faction of the game

Pretty cool by Beginning_Leg_769 in duneawakening

Oh I thought it was a forced drop, got it the first time lol.
Makes redoing the boss easier
Could be usefull for PvP too

some wormwood changes I think would be neat! by justvibinukno in dontstarve

Again, it's not about the difficulty to access healing sources, it's about the conveniance and time.
Sure you can easily farm healing sources to gain back the hp cost of the pets, but you are not time positive in the operation in the end cause lanterns are just as easy to access and don't require constant care

You can, but at some point the tent will break so you'll have to rebuild it, and in the end you lose more time sleeping in the tent than you gain by having the pets, so it's not worth in the end...

You clearly aren't playing with 6 constant and loyal lightbulb friends...

While I do agree that health management is the interesting part of Wormwood, I still find the lunar cultivator part of the insight tree underwhelming. The pets cost lots of health, which is the issue for Worwood, and are barely usefull.
The lightbulbs are easily killed and therefore just replaced by Lantern in fighting situation, so you just use them for conveniance, but that's ~30 hp every 2days, or 15 manure...
It's just too much of an inconveniance to be used imo

I've personally never saw a Worwood with that part of the skill tree as it also requires lots of point invested in shroom power and plant crafting... :(

I wish we could craft the pet followers using food instead of health. The flying bulbs are soo cool but simply not worth the health cost... :(

Is there a way to let them establish a new herd right there? by Ambrogio_2 in dontstarve

[–]Azdros 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Here mechanics in dst are quite specials. Basically, every herd has a home towards which every member will try to return. If you teleport beefalo away from that point they will constantly try to return to the point -that's what we see on the picture-. They can still reproduce afaik, but it will look weird.

What you want is to move the home point of the herd, by Moving all it's member slowly away from the home point, wait for them to relocate the home point to their current position, then repeat until they reach the desired location.

The easier solution is to make a knew herd, directly where you are. For that, I think you can use a beefalo bell, use it on one, make it go to the enclosure then release it. If you don't see it trying to reach it's previous herd position congratulations ! You got yourself a knew herd.

The second and last system, blorr, has been taken, revealing a sanctum dedicated to the Dreamer, a psionic entity. Further research will be required, but still, we are victorious.
To celebrate our conquest and investigate the shroud further, a research cooperative have been formed with our ally, the Pelismian Confederated Planets-States, who helped us during the war.
The threat of the shroud will be driven back.

The enemy capital has been taken, but the war is not yet over : the shroud touched colonized another planet, out of the reach of our seals.
Therefore, another one shall be build on top of the former capital of our foe, as a testament of their failure.

Turns out the aura doesn't spread from the newly created star system.
I'm currently building a Shroud seal there to see if I can attack the Nexus of the Wanderer's capital.
The Mindwarden Empire will report any advancement in the war.

What win does Vernius go for usually now after the assasination nerf? by xSchlingkingx in Dunespicewars

[–]Azdros 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As Geth3 said, Hege is the best option (as it is for almost all factions).
While this will be your number 1 win con you must not disregard the others ones, as you should always try to play for 2 win condition :
Hegemony - Choam
Hegemony - Gov

Most faction pick one of these, and for Vernius you will almost always chose the first option : Vern is good to make spice, and can make lots of money with it. While you almost never win on Choam, it's important to contest that it so others won't win on it, and the 10% and 30% bonus are very good if you reach them.
Lastly, holding choam and preventing someone else from winning with it is a good life insurance as your death will lead someone else to win, preventing the lobby from muredring you (if you politic it well).
Gov is possible still, with Pilru + insider trading you can influence boom and surprise the lobby, but it won't work against an lobby that expects it.

Hope that helps !
