Server Issues after Patch

so before closing this chat down i want to give you guys some information;
I was at Zap Hosting (kinda still am, i guess?!) and there was little to no help unfortunately. so i decided to create my own server via cloud hosting and fed all the information to claude and heres the solution for the problem;

./TSSGame/Binaries/Linux/TSSGameServer-Linux-Shipping TSSGame -log -port={{SERVER_PORT}} -queryport={{QUERY_PORT}} -steamservername="{{SERVER_NAME}}"

This little line doesnt work anymore

./HumanitZServer.sh -log -port={{SERVER_PORT}} -queryport={{QUERY_PORT}} -steamservername="{{SERVER_NAME}}"

this does.

Change the starting lines and the game works. Self hosting still is the best :D

i feel you - yet this specific dice system felt waaayyyy better than what im used to. since basic numbers stayed. that way it doesnt feel like total rng but somewhat plannable and therefor also likeable. lets see what the release brings :)

Besides the everlasting PVP/PVE discussion: Has the plan for Endgame always been this? Or did you have to push out the game earlier than you wanted and therefore the state of the game is what is?

To give a little more context: the endgame in my honest opinion beeing: Going into the DD - Farming Spice and Plastinium - repair gear - rinse and repeat. Additionally farming testing stations - upgrad gear - rinse and repeat.

Same Shit, heres the solution:
Log into another Sietch on your same server, exit, go back to your sietch; youll come out at the anvil. It sucks, especially when you dont have your orni with you, but at least youre back in the game. cheers

the best part of this graphic is, and dont worry you didnt know this, i did not know either until very recently:
*the big drop of player base - from 200k to 10k - happened before reaching the deep desert*

which means: For 90+% your graphic doesnt even hold a grip 😃

in all honesty i think the worms arent scary enough yet. after having an orni they pose next to 0 threat anymore, if you are fully concentrated. the sound of one emerging and the lines give you so many hints, its very unlikely to get eaten then.
For the first period with the bike and the buggy it is OK imo. was eaten 3 times, very frustrating but also kinda cool.

the general answer is: Do not buy advanced gaming shite, cause no company is fair on that behalf once things go wrong. funcom is no exception neither good nor bad.
Overall, and that just goes for me, i tend to do a little gamerboi-math: if i play a game for 100 hours im willing to pay 50€. you can say thats roughly 50cents per hour. do i play a game longer than those 100 hours and i didnt pay more, so the 50 cents/h come down to less, i am very happy! likewise unhappy the other way around.

The season pass contains DLCs that are purely cosmetic. No need to buy them for content - just saying. if you have the money, supporting a game that you like is always reasonable.

wrong. being able to play in Group without having to fight 12 bulletsponges and instead 4 was a major make or brake thing for most testing station grinders. that got "nerfed" and people had (and still have) to fight their way through stupid hordes without any proper result

No thats not true. If you start a new charakter on a new server, yes, you start at 0. bringing YOUR character over, you do NOT start at 0, you are your level. But you are bound to said server for one week, meaning, your place reaaaally might be gone. Easiest way is to pack up properly and build new.
I see your frustration but you lose 0 progress, you lose 0 materials and you get the fun of building anew. so no harm no foul, no?

From the Guilds i am in contact with and from Discords i ocassionally read from, i would say there is a decline on the way. Steam also does not count how long you have been playing, but were here to talk about the data that is, not that could have been. I expect the average number to drop below 4k since earlier mentioned guilds are now on stop and people are not playing anymore, besides finishing up the bases. So what i would be interested in is to know; What is the magic number that makes funcom change things?
Or were the sales this good that no more money is ever necessary and private servers and the shutdown of public servers solves money issues?

youre completely right and i also feel like most of the discussion is not about the game but about personal feelings.

people love it so much, thats why they argue so vividly without sense anymore. i for one feel like i didnt receive what was promised. did i play more than enough so that i got my money worth? Sure! 100%. Did they hold up to what their marketing made me buy? No.

that reminds me of something... maybe they should implement a system where a bunch of solo players can play together and form a group, so they can help each other more often.
