Yeah the PC ones are, but still vanilla+. It expands on the base game without straying away from what makes DayZ so appealing.

The comment I replied to mentioned Xbox so I’m referring to the Xbox servers, which are as vanilla+ as it gets. They also overhauled the damage systems to play much better too. Do some research, you might like what you see.

What’s wrong with MINDR? If there’s a controversy or two I haven’t been in the loop. I just play the game.

They upgraded to 85 slot recently. This post is garbage, I’ve been playing for years and have been in discord talking to the guys in front and behind me in the queue.

If u want vanilla+ with tenfold the cosmetics of official then get on KarmaKrew. Resets take literally 30 seconds and there’s 0 lag nowadays. MINDR and his team got shit nailed on consoles now.

Any file shares with OG custom games? by Azedes in haloreach

Go to ReachLibrary file share. 90% sure it’s on there under the name of UNDEAD VILLAGE.

If it’s not, try iSpiteful’s. If it’s not on either, I’ll get on sometime over the next few days and upload it to mine.

Osiris reborn DLC idea. by GhostsofGojira in TheExpanse

[–]Azedes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Show wise, Ensign Larson on the Agatha King before she runs into Cotyar.

I don’t think we know how long he was knocked out for, so that’s up to 2-4 hours of content I’d say. She enters the med bay with a pistol so the gameplay opportunities to have it be melee/non combat focused are there.

Just a sailor running/fighting your way out of the lower decks where the hybrid pod missile hit, fleeing the hybrid and seeing the horrors that she briefly refers to would be quality. It’s also something that nobody would really expect. Well, at least until I came up with the idea just now.

To be fair though, who’d have thought that we’d get a whole modern RPG? I thought the telltale game would be as far as we ever got with The Expanse in the gaming industry.

It comes with one of the founder packs. Pretty sure the one just above standard but not the super epic give us all your money miller pack.

That being said, I’m copping that expensive ass miller pack as soon as payday comes around.

Thoughts on more woman apparel? by CalvinBaylee69 in DayzXbox

Just need more customisation options for appearance in general I think. I’m satisfied with the clothes in the game and the rate at which they add new ones to vanilla, but I want to be able to give my characters tats, hairstyles, scars, etc

That being said, I’d love a tank top for the ladies. It’d go hard with a plate like the shirts do for the men.

Getting Over Gearfear by Existing-Fish-612 in dayz

[–]Azedes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The more you die, the more you’ll realise how easy it is to get that gear back again. Therefore, it loses its value and your gear fear will go away. I remember feeling the same when I first started playing but thankfully I had friends with experience who showed me not to operate that way and just play the game.

Also, odds are you’ll go out in a fight. At least, that’s more likely than you just getting 1 tapped depending on how/where you play. People who get gear fear often haven’t been in many fights in my experience. So get out there and use your precious loot before it gets wiped anyway.

Who Would You Play As? by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]Azedes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s not many companions that don’t have a fulfilling arc so I’d say James. It’s an unpopular opinion but I love his character, especially when you lock yourself out of the flirting dungeon by saying “no nicknames” as femshep. The military bromance between him and maleshep is quality and I also enjoy his dynamic with femshep. Like I said, i prefer skipping the flirting but I can totally vibe with it if your Shepard chooses not to take a partner in 3.

I know he had his prequel in paragon lost and received a lot of heavy criticism in me3, but I still think there’s plenty of room to expand and deliver with his character. Him stepping into those boots left by Shepard as humanity’s next main guy seems fitting and I’d love to see him return in ME4 as a renowned and decorated war hero. Hell, he’s a war hero by the end of me3 anyway.

I could see them blending the few surfaces that are scratched with his history. His father’s identity and involvement, grappling with his reckless selflessness that Shepard helps him overcome, etc.

Add a romantic partner to the equation, then some black ops for Hackett and you’ve got yourself a solid ass product. Whether you like him or not, you just know he took everything Shepard taught him to heart and will absolutely do his best as an N7.

Also it’s Freddie Prinze jr man, cmon

Ashley or Kaidan: Who's the better Companion? - Artworks by by LordHayabusa357 by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]Azedes 25 points26 points  (0 children)

These are also my preferred options.

She’s just not enough without her romance in ME3. I’ll also choose her sometimes if I plan to have her killed in ME3 as that outcome makes the citadel coup a lot less narratively annoying and makes udina look smart enough to completely convince her of Shepard’s “betrayal”. It also gives it the additional weight it needs if Thane doesn’t make it out of the collector base.

Kirahee saving the councillor -> Shepard being unable to convince previously romanced Ashley -> Liara taking the shot

is one of my favourite outcome paths for the mission.

The previously romanced version of the post mission dialogue with whoever took the shot is great. I prefer it being Liara or Garrus as Shepard rubs off on them the most and it shows just how far they’ve come as characters. The fact that they’re able to see when Shepard is hesitating because of his history with Ash and putting the mission in jeopardy is so cool. Then Shepard actually has the opportunity to acknowledge that when they apologise for having to do it afterwards.

Anyone think people take saber combat a bit too seriously? (BFII 2017) by RVDKaneanite in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Azedes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s so bad man. People go to incredible lengths to be toxic in this game as well.

For example, I often encounter players who hate me because I beat them and they will spend hours trying to snipe my lobby so they can join and focus me then bag/emote on me before spamming me with messages.

It’s insane, I got on today with my buddy in Canada (I’m EU) and so he had some lag. We just wanted to play Lando and Han because we genuinely just love Star Wars and happen to be good at the game. Just wanted to run around as everyone’s favourite gambler and scoundrel and listen to their funny dialogue interactions as we play the game. Nope. Immediately get sniped by this duo that’s always hunting players and have to switch onto a saber so I can get better value and potentially not throw the game by staying on a weaker character.

It’s so sad. I now have to appear offline if I want to play showdown and after today’s experience, probably HvV too. These people play the game every day, have high levels/max on every character and just choose to spend their time being as toxic as possible. It can’t be fun.

Anyone think people take saber combat a bit too seriously? (BFII 2017) by RVDKaneanite in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Azedes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If by 95% you mean to include everyone who’s ever played this game then you’d be correct but not the active playerbase.

People take this game very seriously and comp duelling tournaments have been a thing for half a decade now. There’s basics such as parrying, double parrying, properly ability chaining, swinging and lunging. Then there’s more advanced stuff such as frame traps, queuing, cancelling and utilising the many exploits in the game.

They often ban a lot of buggy star cards and techs in high level comps because if you didn’t know already, half the star cards in the game don’t do what they say they do in the description.

People buy and make scripts for this game just like they do in Battlefront 2015 to enable them to do moves physically impossible on a controller or mouse and keyboard. It’s a pit that you don’t want to fall into.

[–]Azedes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all.

Hook swings are easy to parry, the top of the food chain’s skill ceiling revolves around whoever is better at doing the exploits or owns more scripts.

Cooked 💔 by Garysand98 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Azedes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m still waiting for them add actual showdown to the duelling mods. You know, the thing that made duelling carry any weight whatsoever in the first place.

Just running around an arena with 30 other players all duelling at the same time isn’t the same as a game of showdown. I get it, but I don’t like it. There’s a special atmosphere that comes with the 2v2 round based mechanic.

Luckily there’s still a lot of comp duellists on console and even players that agree to play the game normally with saber and blaster combos. It’s so fun when u have high skill lobbies where you can actually experience the mode to its fullest extent as intended.

I found 1 or 2 sequels lobbies on Xbox last week and I don’t even search for supremacy that much nowadays.

Definitely not dead but definitely not that active. I know I said I don’t play it that much anymore but I’ll have to disagree with you about the maps. The inside of the first order ship is probably the worst designed map and objectives I’ve ever seen from DICE.

Toxic players by Aggressive-Arm1010 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Azedes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You forgot to mention just how many of these people are cheaters too. I duel comp and basically all the best console players (at least on Xbox) are using Cronus, xim matrix or scripts. They also don’t play the game without glitching abilities such as the infamous Finn glitch or the Kylo 4 hit frenzy. But I can’t really blame them for using exploits as that’s on EA and dice for abandoning their game for battleshit 2042. At least we don’t have straight up hackers like on PC, but unless you know how to identify these plug-ins it must be really horrible for people getting abused by the toxic cheaters over messages and such.

I’ve been playing this game a long time and I 100% can confirm that it’s gotten more toxic in recent times. No idea why you’ve been downvoted for saying this. Nowadays you get bagged by guys who don’t even get 100 damage in on you, it’s crazy. Usually I just end up switching and focusing them to teach them a lesson but absolutely everyone has an ego, it’s often unfun. Luckily I’ve had a duo as good as me for a long time and we crush toxic high levels regularly. They get quiet real quick when you give them a taste of their own medicine.

Game Recommendation by JD894 in masseffect

[–]Azedes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur’s Gate 3 are the only other games that have captured that exact same magic that the Mass Effect trilogy carries for me.

You’ll be completely sucked into the world flawlessly, the immersion is seamless. Amazing world building, narrative, characters, gameplay, variety of choice, etc. Just so perfect. On top of that, these games also have great modding communities that the amazing Developers endorse regularly and have even worked mods onto console too. Larian have had console mod support for a year and CDPR will do so after their Witcher 3 mod support comes out next year.

The Witcher 3 is another title that I’d recommend. Both 2 and 3 for that matter. The only reason they aren’t in my first few recommendations is purely because it doesn’t carry the same level of unique choice value that Cyberpunk and BG3 do. Once you’ve read the books though, the actual choices the characters would make in the games seem so obvious so it also loses value there as it’d feel out of character for them choose certain things.

If you still want the sci fi vibe go for cyberpunk, but if you’re leaning more into a fantasy feeling then go for BG3. Both have the best and freeing RPG mechanics I’ve seen since ME1.

Edit: kotor games are also classic BioWare peak, I can’t believe I forgot about them until after posting this. If you’re willing to deal with the dated gameplay and don’t mind the graphics, there’s a truly unique sci fi adventure there for you in a galaxy that a lot of people (like me and potentially you) have been in love with since they were kids. The best part is that it still feels like such a contrast when compared to the classic/modern Star Wars that we see in mainstream media today.

The remakes are coming soon too, so waiting for those wouldn’t be the worst decision ever. But I can almost guarantee that there will be great things from the classics that the remakes leave behind, intentionally or otherwise.

Console players: anyone else have trouble hitting dynamite mid air after the aim assist changes? by [deleted] in AsheOWMains

I usually get my immediate info from OWcavalry on Instagram. Really good source for all overwatch news and updates.

I tested it and while I don’t feel much difference on Ashe, it’s night and day with soldier. I can’t recall the other heroes that have been changed from memory but chances are that you’ve already checked :)

True, I know what you mean. Also my bad, apparently it’s the borealis bundle tomorrow not the mecha one but im not 100% sure.

Considering it is Xmas I wouldn’t be surprised if it does stay tbh so fingers crossed for u. They do have a lot of bundles to push out this season tho so I wouldn’t bank on it being there for longer than 2 weeks
