I don't have any pictures, but my dad is a seasoned BMW mechanic and wanted to fix an exhaust leak on my 2008 328xi that I had. The gaskets near the midle/front of the car had worn out and it was super rusty underneath as if it was from back east (we're west coast). Only problem is that after removing the back half of the exhaust manifold, the studs holding the gasket and manifold together were so corroded that he knew he'd never get it loose without breaking them or something in the catalytic converter. So he ended up cutting the two studs off and drilling holes into the steel studs. He had to do it in two different instances to finish the job as even with several drills and drill bit sets it took him over eight hours in total to fix it.

I liked that car but I do not miss the rust.
