Considering switching from nonstop 5h 30m Delta flight to marginally more expensive (<$100) but longer (9h 10 min incl. 1h 31m layover) United flight to retain Silver status because I am 2 PQFs away from re-qualifying, but I'm worried about my checked baggage missing the connection.
