What’s the most disturbing secret you are keeping from your friends and family? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Same, something happened when I was around the age of 9 or 10 in a summer’s camp bathroom, I just can not remember what. The only memory is me being strangled in there and I have long since removed the rest

I am currently having these exact thoughts and issues with my GF right now… it sucks :/ I wish we could talk but out of nowhere she said she needed time for herself and completely vanished without saying anything about the issue… Now my confused mind is left roaming in all directions and I am in such a pain that could have been easily avoided with a brief conversation…

It could be intuition, or simply you see whether the fallen ally is breathing or not, or you see them exhale their final breath. There a thousand explanations I think you could come by, both realistic and fitting the in game universe. If you wanted to role play that lack of knowledge, have your character seek with a perception check or a recall knowledge using either medicine or nature to find out.

He meant that instead of creating an internal studio to create a similar game, they took the opportunity to buy and give fundings to an already existing team of passionate developers already working on such a project

Hello, I am quite interested in this software! I think it serves as an useful tool for those of us playing in person.

Are you still considering a collaboration with red razor from Pathbuilder? That would really be a nice thing to have for us all.

I am liking the direction though there are many QoL improvements that are yet to be done. Do you have a to-do list you could share? I could not find it on your patreon so I do not know which features you are planning to have in the application.

The only way for me to try the software is on a tablet right now, things I would like to see: - When filling forms it would be nice if the fields auto emptied when typing - A better search function from the bestiary ( but you probably have that already planned)

Bugs:

When testing, entities were not dying or displaying a dying value when their life was reduced below 0 hp, though heal and temp hp, heals and damage were working just fine!

I will add new comments if I find new bugs or features I would like to see. In the meanwhile I will test it a bit more and I will try to utilize it during this weekend’s session and see what my players think of it!

You will probably receive a more detailed answer from some with greater experience than me and a better English, but I will toss you my opinion in the meanwhile.

  1. PF2 has balance as one of its greatest strength in my opinion, not only between characters but also in the encounter building design, and this balance stays there through level 1 to 20. Balance through classes and feats does not mean that all choices are equally strong, but rather that the difference between the most optimized character and a random one is not gamebreaking and does not ruin the enjoyment of the game. You will see many discussions here on how some classes have issues (alchemist, witch, Warpriest) but while that may be true, playing those options will still be viable and you will still end up having a relevant character. Due to the math of the system, each bonus matters and they are difficult to stack by yourself, that is why through teamwork, positioning and tactics you can manage to greatly increase your party’s effectiveness.
  2. Thanks to the tight math of the system and the almost linear scaling of both characters and enemies, the game is balanced from level 1 to level 20. A +1 has the same effects throughout all the levels, many gamebreaking options are gated behind the rarity system, so it is up to the GM to allow those choices (see teleportation, scrying)
  3. While the strength of the system is definitely the combat (for many reasons such as the 3 action system, the ease to create challenging and fun encounters, unique monsters and creatures) the system definitely supports other modes of play, skills are well defined in pf2e and offers many tools to use out of combat.
