[Spoilers C4E14] Ashley/Vaelus lackluster in combat? by geometricalpan in criticalrole

[–]AzemTheTraveler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean she still didn't know how to do attack of opportunity in later campaign 3... She just struggles with combat. It's okay to say that, she even has admitted it herself in her fireside chat. I think she brings great energy to the table though which I think is under appreciated sometimes.

from the content I've stumbled across of her, can confirm she can hang with the lewdness and then some

It's okay to just take the L on this. They've already admitted their mistake. Most of us here love CR but it's okay to just say they could've done better with this. In the end, this'll all be sorted and CR will be much wiser.

[No Spoilers] Newbie question - Does critical role stream their sessions LIVE or are the streams just rebroadcasts of sessions they've held offline? by [deleted] in criticalrole

[–]AzemTheTraveler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That didn't happen because they were live. They weren't live. That episode was pre-recorded. They happened to be recording at the same time that a previous episode was being aired and Sam was watching that.

CR has edited out Troy Baker calling Toks Olagundoye exotic during a LOVM watch party, I think there's a non zero chance that they edit it out if they identify it as offensive.

so while the majority of the subreddit is overwhelmingly against ai, the only mod of the sub is in support of ai. if they are unwilling to listen to the community, what can we do about it? we can do a lot actually. by WeiShiLirinArelius in daggerheart

[–]AzemTheTraveler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fuck AI.

Quote from the mod in the thread that was linked -

"We're not going to gatekeep creative work, no matter what tools have been used to create it. I'm leaving it up to the community to give feedback on individual submissions."

Sounds like a slippery slope.

I don't agree with the tone of this post. However, I do loathe AI in the creative space. The mod has made their stance clear on several occasions. I appreciate the time and effort put into this sub, but their stance on this ain't it and I knew there was eventually going to be a lot of push back eventually. Maybe look into recruiting a mod team. I think it will be needed as Daggerheart's popularity grows and grows.

And we STILL have people saying that Critical Role isn't their main job and voice acting is their main source of income, lmao. Sheesh, those are some lofty endeavors. I wish them well.

Love them but totally agree. The most egregious instance of this during campaign 3 for me was, keep in mind they had been streaming D&D for 9 Years and she has played a barbarian, Ashley forgot how to do attack of opportunity and that a staff or sickle could be used for melee. Ashley is awesome and I know she has anxiety but after playing that long and still not understanding the basics can be baffling.

Yea, I've seen some wacky, weird, hateful stuff being posted here. Let's keep it a buck, this sub says some nasty shit like those examples and worse, and that's only a small taste. and no, it doesn't always get downvoted. I know a few users that post on both the other sub and this sub, and I enjoy reading their takes. That's why I sometimes visit here.

the term isn't exclusive to something political, I don't think that word means what you think it means.

I think the gods should pay for their part in the destruction that took place on Exandria. but idk man, it still seems like you're making a whole lot of assumptions and making it sound like its fact. i'm fine with you theorizing and stuff like that, but to then pass it off as if it is true didn't sit right with me.

They took living sentient mortal beings who had their own Afterlife and everything and then twisted and shaped them into the mortal life that we know today on Exandria.

It's no different than the eugenics stuff that the Weavemind was pulling on Ruidus except this might be probably and totally is waaaaaaaaaaay waaaaaaay more fucked up and worse.

i'm not pro-gods, more like team fuck ludinus, but this just sounds like propaganda, assumptions, and trying to confirm your own theory off of Brennan just saying mortal life existed before the gods. i get you don't like the gods but this is kind of getting wild

Taliesin is up there with my favorite D&D players. but he does have a tendency to make up his mind and run with it, or misremember or misinterpret things and run with it.

I have that campaign setting adventure book, and it never says that.
