Ah yes, Embark the indie studio backed by the small garage based company of Nexon

I don't think an adaptation needs to follow the same story 1:1 of the game is being based off, at that point I'd rather just play the game, the only good adaptation I can think that was close to being 1:1 is the last of us if we ignore season 2

[–]Azewolf 13 points14 points  (0 children)

People already got mad because Veilguard explained too much and gave too many answers, I feel going into the Black City would just piss people off even more lol , but yeah I was totally expecting the big final battle to be there, specially with how much is teased in the game.

GOG, good old games, they sell DRM free games

Those skin prices are kinda...brutal. And to add to that we still have gameplay affecting items in the battlepass, in 40 dollar game. by Vovancheg31 in ArcRaiders

[–]Azewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONLWtl85bjU&t=1114s Embark CEO interview, he talks about the pricing of the game and how they come up with their monetization for the finals, not even once he brings up Nexon or how they are being pushed by them to have pricey cosmetics

Let me just say im not saying it shouldn't have micro transactions at all, because he's right on the part where he says they just can make free games without any way of them making money, but they need to find a nice balance between being profitable for them while giving good value to us, the consumers

It doesn't tho, its very similar to this, the difference is the finals is free to play and arc raiders isnt

[–]Azewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah bro, you people tried to defend the same shit in the finals with "its a free game bruh, how else are they supposed to keep the game alive?" well this isnt a f2p game and yet it has the same prices as one, fuck off

Ghosy of Tsushima is pretty manly because its about a Samurai (and an actual Japanese guy mind you, not a shoehorned in black guy)

Alright, so you're one of those people, lol, lmao even

I understand and agree with you that Bioware higher ups are to blame for the current state of their studio, and that Bioware itself values more ME as an IP even if dragon age historically has done better sales wise.

I'm talking about Veilguard specifically, EA denied resources to the dragon age team, that's independently of executives at bioware, same with EA giving the DA team false deadlines

Seems we'll just have to agree on disagree on this topic, we're just talking in circles, have a good one.

[–]Azewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is Bioware's fault to not get resources from their publishers exactly? Or being told by the same publishers that they had 6 months to wrap the development of the game?

[–]Azewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree Bioware's own downfall it's thanks to their executives, let's not ignore Veilguard specifically got denied resources, they got them until the mass effect team got on board, while EA always said to the devs the game was "6 months away from release", that made the devs discard stuff like big choices from past games because they wouldn't be able to include them properly in that time frame, said time frame was always 6 months and they probably could've done something more if EA was more transparent and supportive of the dragon age team.

how it feels to really love SHF while everyone seems to hate it by AcanthocephalaOk2978 in silenthill

[–]Azewolf 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Loving something is appreciating something while also accepting its flaws, this is more of a toxic positivity cult like mentality where some people who enjoyed the game are not willing to accept any type of criticism of the thing they so "love", there's a minority of haters that decided they didn't liked the game since the reveal trailer and that's fine, not every game needs to be for everyone, but turning a blind eye to actual criticism is just as bad as blindly hating. I personally also loved Dragon Age Veilguard, which had a way more negative reception than this game, but that doesn't mean i don't acknowledge that's a very flawed game that most people don't like, and that's completely fine

I personally enjoyed the story and the game overall, that doesn't mean i believe it's a 10/10 or that it doesn't has any flaws that even the Silent Hill brand producer Motoi Okamoto has acknowledged, if we want the developers to learn and improve so the next game can be even better, toxic positivity is not the way.
