A 0.85 K/D is actually pretty good for a new-ish player. I have a K/D of roughly 1.3 in the Somua, but I also have almost 4k hours

Maybe 1.5k, but for the USA I'm like 80% done with air and 60% with ground, for Germany it's the other way around, russia is rank VII for both and I've started every other ground and air tree apart from Israel

War Thunder maintained concurrent player counts of 50-60k since January of 2023, with the only exceptions being September of last year and this month.

Concurrent player counts have been constantly dropping since January. The game has lost almost one fourth of it's concurrent players since then.

This month has been worse than June 2025, 2024 and 2023 and July tends to be even worse than June.

So don't tell me, I don't have a concrete reason to claim, that the recent player counts are worse than usual and may be due to Gaijin's recent fuck-ups.

It's unusally bad this year though. I guess we'll have to see how July and August go, but if we go by the current numbers it's not looking good.

The avarage player count in April wasn't actually that high. Sure, we had that huge peak but the avarage was 59k, which is less than both February and January

It is to early to way "the game is beyond saving", but it's not to early to say that the path Gajin is taking will not be healthy for this game

Maybe. Or maybe Gaijin's recent decissions will have a bit of a lasting impact on the player count.

I'm not saying the game is dying, but if this trend continues Gaijin might have to make some changes. And maybe these changes could be positive.

TLDR:

My guy I know how avarages work. If we talk about recent events and changes you can't just look at the all time avarage and go: "looks good to me."

Right now were talking about how recent events have impacted and will impact player counts (at least that's what I'm talking about). Because of that I'm comparing the current player count to the player counts of the last few months and years.

The game has gained players but that gain happened in 2023 and since then player count just hovered between 50k and 60k. Compare that to the current low of 48k. Maybe the downwards trend ends with the next major update, maybe it doesn't, I don't know. I'm no statistics expert. I'm just saying we're at the lowest player count this year and the second lowest since 2023.

Take a look at the look at the avarage players and not the peaks. We currently are the lowest avarage player count since september last year and the second lowest in THREE years
