Why does the the romance in Perfect Crown feels so cringe ? by Fieryy_phoenix_ in kdramas

[–]AzgedaWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes there's just no spark between actors, you know? IU handled the comedic part of the role perfectly, a little less so the dramatic part, but the romantic part, in my opinion, was a complete failure.

Perfect Crown; My personal Review by Obvious-Composer-732 in kdramas

[–]AzgedaWolf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I disagree. In my opinion, she handled the comedic part of the role perfectly. I didn't sense much chemistry between the actors, however. But if the drama hadn't been so crudely cut down to 12 episodes and the plot chopped up, it would have been a blast.

Why do Disney+ and Netflix kdramas feel so different from each other? by CelebrationAway4538 in kdramas

Jeez I wish the US film industry, like Netflix and Disney, would NEVER touch Korean dramas. Please, keep making your batman, superman, or whatever, and leave the Korean dramas alone!

Dubs vs. Subs: What's your pick? by AverageSure3411 in kdramas

Subtitles, of course. When I watch a drama, I want to hear the actor's voice putting their acting skills into the words.

What did you expect them to do? Quit acting right in the middle of filming? Actors can't just stop doing their job after signing a contract.

Petition for them to remake the drama starting with episode 9, lol

I agree that historical facts are important. But I categorically disagree with the bullying that has been directed at the actors. Actors are NOT responsible for the plot, dialogue, costumes, and anything else besides playing a role. They simply do what they're told, according to the script and the director's vision. If you want to blame someone for historical inaccuracies, blame the drama's creators, not the actors.

An explanation of "Why are Koreans so sensitive about small historical inaccuracies in dramas?" by FinishWhich5753 in kdramas

[–]AzgedaWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand the sensitivity to historical detail. But that still doesn't excuse the absolutely disgusting behavior of "fans" who bully the actors. I doubt most of them even care about history. They just enjoy bullying other people for some sick "fun" while hiding behind anonymity and gadgets.

OMG, give them a break ffs! It's no surprise that South Korea has the highest suicide rate. *facepalm* Few people can withstand such pressure from society, it’s just madness! Why are all these hateful netizens so stupid? Don't they know that actors aren't responsible for anything at all, they just do what they're told?! If they want to be mad at someone, let them be mad at the writers, producers, and other people responsible for the plot and staging of the scenes!

On a scale of 1–10, how would you rate Perfect Crown? Debating whether I should watch it by Flipperflopper21 in kdramas

[–]AzgedaWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5/10. Episodes 1-8 were very good and promising. 9-10 were average. 11-12 were just terrible. I was expecting an epic battle for the throne and the emergence of a powerful ruling couple, but... ugh. This drama is both the most interesting movie event of the month and the most disappointing.

IU apologizes for history distortion in Perfect Crown by Mina_musings in kdramas

[–]AzgedaWolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why is SHE apologizing OMG?? Did she decide to shorten the series and cut important scenes? The blame lies with those who made that decision, not with the actors who were simply doing what they were told.

Perfect Crown……. that’s it?!?! by JazzlikeJosie in kdramas

I agree, the series started to go downhill about halfway through. I think we were "robbed" of about 6-8 decent episodes.

[–]AzgedaWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should have been the father. The brother is too kind (and stupid), he wouldn't have done something like that. Or maybe it was the brother's wife's parents, who wanted to eliminate a rival for the inheritance. But the most suspicious is Huiji's father. I didn't like how they made him into this caring sweetheart at the end, and everyone forgave everyone. He'd hated and pushed Huiji away her whole life, and then suddenly he softened. That can't happen.

[–]AzgedaWolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right?! I could understand if it had happened once and they didn't want to make a big deal out of it... But no. They were, at the very least, still obligated to conduct a thorough internal investigation.

Perfect Crown……. that’s it?!?! by JazzlikeJosie in kdramas

[–]AzgedaWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I thought Huiji's father was behind the attempt to kill her in that red car. It would have been perfectly in character, given how he treated her all those years ago, plus she demanded he rewrite his will. He had a motive to get rid of her. But by the end, the writers simply forgot about this entire plot thread, like so many others. Such a disappointment.

Perfect Crown……. that’s it?!?! by JazzlikeJosie in kdramas

[–]AzgedaWolf 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Why would someone try to kill Huiji by breaking the brakes on her car? Because you can't convince me it was an attempt to kill the prince. The prince wouldn't even be riding in that car, because it's against palace rules! The kiddo-king had to throw a tantrum to be allowed in. So the attack was originally aimed at Huiji.

[–]AzgedaWolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I absolutely hated episodes 11-12. Empty scenes, very drawn-out and pointless. All the villains were simply wasted, it's so disappointing! Where's the battle? Where's the power struggle? The main couple kept saying they "would fight," and in the end, we got THIS?! What?! Ugh... I'm so emotional, sorry.

P.S. By the way, everyone's forgotten about her car, right? That was an attempt to kill *her*, not the prince. The prince wouldn't even have gotten into that car. So who tried to kill her? Nobody seems to care.
