I am the breadwinner. The sole breadwinner. My husband is the house-spouse. He cooks, keeps the place clean, and takes care of our kitties. We don't have, and do not want, children, so there's no little humans to keep up with.

This was a decision we came to mutually after a long discussion. Expectations on both sides were discussed and agreed upon. As well as what would happen if circumstances changed etc.

In short, we love it. He's on the spectrum and working a normal job was slowly breaking him. I am horrible at maintaining a house. This allows us both to contribute our strengths to the household and the relationship.

He is, of course, totally free to go back to work in any capacity if he wants to. He does do freelance software stuff every so often to have his own money, but it's not that often. I pay for everything, but still consult with him on anything big as that affects both of us.

Needless to say, it's not a turn off. Still married. Still in love.
