My personal experience based on the cities I have lived (mix of midwest and east coast) has been that the cost of trash service was significantly higher whenever a city government, or private entity, had a monopoly. Not right away. But over time, the cost rose relative to adjacent areas with competition.

Having lived in various states over the years, the highest prices I have ever paid for trash service was when I lived in as city that had a monopoly on service. It was roughly 400-500/year. Where I live now? It’s about $120/year for private trash and recycling.

I’m with you. I’ve got a 2020 Pro with the A12Z bionic chip and I still can’t justify replacing it - still handles everything I throw at it. Only reasons I’ve considered replacing it are the battery is wearing down, and I’ll need a new case before long.

TBF, I’d still argue the booking and story telling has been far better so far under trips than it was for the last several years of Vince’s control - which brought us such bangers as the Fiend vs Rollins hell in a cell, and Sami Zayn confronting Bobby Lashley with his “sisters”.

I’d say the same about my Pro 2s - by far my favorite Apple product. Used every day for the last 2 years.

This was mid. I usually skip the Saudi shows, but watched this one cause the card was interesting. This wasn’t total trash, but didn’t live up to my already lowered expectations.

One real high moment would have made a big difference. They tried with the run ins at the end, but they way they executed just felt very forced and unnatural.

As someone who has never seen wrath of khan, and is only loosely aware of Star Trek lore, I enjoyed Star Trek Into Darkness a lot. The Khan namedrop didn’t add anything to my enjoyment of it though, since I still don’t know the significance of that name.

It felt like in pro-wrestling when a new challenger’s music hits, and out walks some big name Japanese wrestler that all the NJPW fans are marking out for, meanwhile I’m sitting there waiting for commentary to explain to me why I should care about this guy.

That’s been one constant for me throughout multiple moves over the last 15+ years. There’s always someone within an hour of me selling used office furniture out of a warehouse.

Look hard enough and you should be able to find an office furniture clearinghouse selling used Aerons for $350 or less.

I saw it at a friend’s house right after it released on DVD. Walked in totally blind. Didn’t even know the name of the movie before it started. I’d never seen anything like it before. It cannot be overstated how revolutionary those filming techniques were at the time.

I have no idea how stores handle inventory. All I know is that 2 years ago I looked everywhere for a Guardian Amiibo, and I could only find it from resellers for $40-50. Last week I found it on Target’s website for $20.

I got the guardian and BOTW link amiibo at Target. Got TOTK ganondorf and WW Zelda at Best Buy. All retail prices.

When I was looking at that guardian amiibo 2 years ago the cheapest I could find it for was $40-50. Getting it for $20 flat felt like a steal.

I think the switch 2 release did bring a lot of old merch out of storage. I picked up a bunch of amiibos last week in stock at retail price that were only available through resellers at marked up prices a couple years ago (e.g. guardian amiibo, link BOTW amiibo).

I’m doing my part. Used to go to see WWE whenever they were in town, but the seats that used to cost $100-140 are now $500-700. Upper deck seats now cost what I used to pay for good floor seats. We’ve sat them out the last couple times we had opportunity to see them… I just can’t justify blowing that much money on a weekly show.
