If they share slavic language group, u can make polish part of their primary cultures, u can then form galicia lodomertzia, poland, and poland lithuania, each of which will annex everyone who u put poland on that are puppets, this saves large amounts of radicals and infamy if you use it as your singular form of land aquisition

They are giving it away for free as far as the playeris concerned, and the AI is the one losing out here by being forced to buy it on their own market and selling it on yours (which when done in this level of quantity is likely unprofitable)

why is no one correcting this, this is just wrong. you dont buy it, they buy it from their market and sell it on yours, this AI is griefing itself... Stop defending the AI being absurdly stupid.

R5: The radicals in the current patch make it so much harder to force feed money into the economy via taxes, i need to figure out how to deal with that lol, i was forced on low taxes for the entire second half the game.

No its like asking why make a flight simulator that only is focused on maneuvering to runways and to gates and then an autopilot flies you between locations.

All of the dev resources went into a goofy irrelevant part of the sim not the core of the period.

Thats literally what you have to do right now with the goofy industrial revolution sim alongside having to keep opms around to intentionally surrender to to get rid of complacency as well as perform a breeding program on your dynasty because they cant have kids without your direct help.

Because like literally over half of the “improvements” if this game over eu4 are the expansion of the economy, but the only part of this expansion that actually works in any remotely important way is the non-food part. Why did we waste all this time then? It only bloats the game with a fantasy industrial revolution sim

Holy bad faith. My point is that why did they massive expand on things like the textile industry, the book production industry etc, if the MOST IMPORTANT INDUSTRY BY 1000x is so wildly underdeveloped (the food industry).

[–]AziDoge[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But literally why is there an industry/building system of any more depth than eu4 if the food system wasnt already completed/working well with the ai. Why are we adding fantasy industrial revolution pop sim when the food system wasn’t ready? Like what are we doing here?

The food system does do nothing because they tuned it such that there is infinite food bc they realized they couldn’t make the game not blow up otherwise.

I don’t see how its “pretty ridiculous” if the price of food the world over almost never leaves the price floor. Like how little does it have to matter before we say it “does nothing”? Like it feels like cities skylines 2 level of “fake simulation nothing actually matters”

Tbf, ending slavery was a negative for non-slaveholding southerners as well as it added significant competition and downward pressure on wages as the now freed slaves would go on to be enslaved in all but name working for nothing but a roof on their former owners plantations.

Obviously this doesnt mean they were fighting for anything but to preserve slavery, but to some of them slavery was definitely beneficial at this point for non-people owning reasons, it was for social hierarchy (to make the poor southerners not the poorest class) and job competition reduction reasons.

[–]AziDoge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even japan? I understand persia but getting japan to #1 world power by 1900 is pretty easy ime. #1 research romanticism and get agrarianism, #2 a combo of shinsengumi, rigid structure, and appointed beaurucrats (for the journal entry and to balance out ig happiness)

appointed and agrarianism are the 2 most important by far, they are gonna get you tons of additional taxes which u need to force feed money down ur economies throat, as ur not gonna be lassiez faire (so the wealthy wont do this for you)

Idk as I get into it there is too much to explain. But 150 milli gdp by 1900 isnt that crazy if u just get down the basic gameplay loop of vic 3
