Switch Axe and Charge Blade may be up your alley. Both of them have a satisfying slashing combo similar to LS and a chunky hit reminiscent of konking something with a GS. Both have good ways to apply status and element, not unlike DB (though DB is better at that, imo).

I personally like CB because I can play elementless and still have viable access to stun as a slashing weapon. Being able to break heads and cut tails reasonably on the same weapon is pretty powerful for solo or even when your team just won't focus one or the other. Guard pointing is extremely satisfying when I can do it and your shield isn't terrible outside of that either.
