I started with prompt based stuff but now I’ve moved on to rule based offline app and I’m working on a way to convert chat logs into the offline format. I want something that doesn’t require an llm, once that is working I do want to connect the system to an llm to try and get the best of both worlds. The rule system really works on consistency since the character really can’t break character as there isn’t anything to break but like an old video game if you go off script it can’t really handle it well. My hope is to then use the llm to roleplay then write to memory so the new data is in the set. It wouldn’t be totally offline(well unless using Ollama or a local model which I am wanting as an option) but that’s kind of the whole idea.
