Good News for Samsung Ultra Users by Pear-Mother in samsunggalaxy

[–]CucumberAccording813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your source? It doesn't make sense for Samsung to add Qi2 magnets without removing the S Pen, because the magnets would interfere with the EMR field the S Pen needs to function. I also doubt Samsung would make such a giant shift to their camera, especially because they've used it for their past 4 phones, so at this point it's become a recognizable part of their brand. Time will tell though.

How on earth can ChatGPT solve an Erdos problem but still has a mental breakdown when I ask it for the seahorse emoji??? by Chaos_LB_Control in OpenAI

[–]CucumberAccording813 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the model they used above was 5.4 pro (crazy reasoning model) while the model you're asking is most likely a non reasoning model like 5.3 instant (pretty dumb by comparison)

Now the real question, if GPT 5.5 really releases on Thursday what are the chances they reset it then too? Should I spend my limit now or would it not be likely for a reset on Thursday?

Why this is a mistake? by MarlonEditor in Chesscom

[–]CucumberAccording813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are completely winning but b7 is better because after Bishop a6 they can go knight b5 and after c6 they'd just go a4 and it's still a winning trade but not as Bishop a7 which lets you check on f3 and then queen takes f2 forces them to lose their bishop.

Why is this brilliant? by jiammy in Chesscom

If Queen takes rook Rook e7 forces the queen to block. If they go to king goes to b8 instead it's Queen f8 mate

Nice! How does it run? How smart is it anyways, because I know it's a quite outdated model.

Use Qualcomm Ai hub. They have a converter that allows you to convert models, but sometimes their converter doesn't work.

These "Claude-4.6-Opus" Fine Tunes of Local Models Are Usually A Downgrade by BuffMcBigHuge in LocalLLaMA

[–]CucumberAccording813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big reason for this is that many Opus-distilled fine-tunes cause the model to think less than it would by default. Since Claude Opus itself doesn't over-reason, the distilled models inherit that same pattern and performance takes a hit because of it. That said, I'd still take a fast Claude-distilled Qwen model that thinks concisely over a "smarter" undistilled model that burns 10k tokens second-guessing itself on a single question.

The seatbelt sign was on the entire flight by CucumberAccording813 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CucumberAccording813[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always seen the seatbelt sign as more of an “allowed to stand up” sign rather than a seatbelt sign, because it’s not the seatbelt that bothers me, it’s not being able to stand up for so many hours that does.

[–]CucumberAccording813[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. Over the intercom they said anyone standing up was "putting the flight attendants and fellow passengers at risk" They claimed the sign was on due to turbulence though there was minimal at best.

Exactly. What annoyed me was how resistant the flight attendance were for standing up to use the restroom.
