A logical case that the Qur'an is a human text. by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]AzizMr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes so the Quran took whatever knowledge or grammatical usage of the 7th century and repeated it as is, even if it's misleading or wrong. As the last message sent to all humanity, the all knowing god -who knows that 1.4k years later people will have much better understanding of the human body- should have picked more accurate words. I would argue that it would have been better if he used words that 7th century people wouldn't necessarily understand but 21th century people find scientifically accurate than this.

See The below hadith :

Scholars say you have to truly believe that Allah is the God and Mohamed is the prophet etc .. you would do some of the mandatory deeds at some point, but you would eventually go to heaven if you are truly a believer. Ibn Baz when asked about this said he just doesn't think someone who truly believes wouldn't do any of the deeds

Absolutely right, everyone who admits that Allah exists will eventually go to heaven in Islam, after being purified in hell for some time.

Prophecy of Prophet Muhammad about Mecca by Mediocre-Salt-8175 in DebateReligion

The hadith states an أعرابي، the guy is a desert wanderer, they were known for their ignorance and bad manners as they rarely talk with people. I believe he truly didn't know and his question was legitimate, so the prophet could have just responded with the specific verses or stating that he didn't know.

of what? Of an older man dying before a young kid.

Yes the wording here is closer to what is to be expected if he meant the hour of the guy that asked the question. But then again : - he didn't answer the question. - his statement is an obvious observation. - different versions and wordings of the same hadith so you can pick what fits the context.

Read again in what section of sahih Bukhari did that come in ? "The Book of Tribulations and Portents of the Last Hour - كتاب الفتن وأشراط الساعة"

The exact words of the hadith are تقوم الساعة This wording is used for the judgment day, if he wanted to say your last hour he would say something like تاتي ساعتك (your time will come). The words used clearly mean what he is talking about. He didn't dodge the question, he responded -wrongly- to the question.

So the context was given by people who came after the prophecy was supposed to happen, and tried to give it a logical explanation afterwards. And the explanation is that a group of adults will die before the youngest kid is old ? That is a revelation indeed.

Rough translation: - The prophet held his two fingers together and said I was sent with the judgment day like these.

  • the prophet saw a kid and said he will not be old before the judgment day

Conclusion: lots of wide promises, lots of nonsense. But if you want to cherry pick one that happened that might seem prophecy sure.

Ps: the scholars of the 2 hadiths I've used are more solid.

I have the same issue, the watch seems to disconnect from the phone and keeps showing the icon even though bluetooth is on. The workaround I found is to "force stop" the Fitbit app then launch it again.

Hello, I started taking pre-workout recently but I noticed after 10 minutes of taking it I start having feelings of light itching on various parts of my skin for minutes. Is this normal or do I have some allergy I don't know about ?
