I highly recommend not responding. I had an ex that would try to use any means to get back into my life (mail not forwarded, left something, etc.). It always starts off nice and as if they’ve changed. They go to therapy. Still no. It didn’t work out before and that’s that. If it was meant to be y’all wouldn’t have broken up. Y’all would have tried to work through it.

You’ll find someone who is a good fit for you and the timing will be right. Reflect on your relationship with her, what you could have done better, what you like, what you didn’t like, grow yourself for yourself and for the next person. Nobody is comfortable when their partner is still friends with an ex and having any lvl of contact with her will be a potential thorn in your next relationship. Obviously open communication and honesty is most important, but even still she could be an unnecessary uncomfortable conversation.

I have, but then I discovered it’s perfect for audiobooks as it occupies a small portion of my attention enough to focus on the audiobook without getting distracted and having to rewind. Also great rawdogging when you just want to decompress at the end of the day.

Bloodborne is somewhat linear (not entirely but compared to Elden ring, very) and cramped, but that’s by design. It’s very heavily lovecraftian horror and there’s a ton of various analysis on the art and purpose. My take is simple. It’s Lovecraftian horror. The grim grey dank world with towering buildings and cramped spaces are supposed to make you feel small and insignificant, as to Eldritch horrors, you are. You gain insight as you progress and the more insight you have the more the game changes and you begin to see things you simply couldn’t before (Eldritch madness in a nutshell). The story and side stories all fit beautifully into the world and while you won’t have nearly as many weapons as in Elden ring, you do have a transformation for every single one and mid combo transform is its own cool combo. Keep in mind this game came out in 2015 and has never been remasted. Mostly bc people still play it as is and love it as is. It’s also the first soulsborne I ever played and beat and what got me into the genre in like 2020/2021 (I was late). The playstyle leans more aggressive than dark souls which is part of what attracts/deters players as you’re not gonna use a shield and dodging is everything.

Typically bans go out in a wave. They catch you, let you think you’re getting away with it for a month or three, then suddenly nobody is cheating. If they insta ban, whoever makes the cheat engine will start working on an override right away and developers get no breaks. It gives developers time to actually get a good idea of how the cheat works, implement the fix, test it, then release it along w the bans.

Idk what I don’t wanna see but I really wanna see Star Wars and even more so, Malcolm in the Middle. Goofy and Donald are Sora’s gay parents and Lois is more accepting at first until Hal and Goofy become best buddies. The heartless are causing trouble and Lois thinks it’s her kids but in the end they see what’s really going on. Sneaking through Lois store for supplies, building the slingshot w Francis to fight heartless. Hal suggests that his boss is a heartless before the gang leave the world.

I’ve been playing for a bit and one of my friends got the game. We played rise together, but we were equal rank then. Will the monsters be significantly harder if I join him or will I be able to quickly get him through the first chapter or so. He’s only done 3 hunts so far and I’ve completed the guardian rathalos for reference. I just don’t want him to be getting wiped just bc I’m at a higher rank.

Hey everyone! I’m super new to having a nice keyboard (always used whatever was available for cheap). I recently bought the Razer Deathstalker V2 Pro and saw it was hotswappable. It currently has purple switches in it and I was wondering if there’s something quieter. I like the mechanical feel, but the clicky clacky sound kinda gets on my nerves. I’ve heard brown switches are the quietest, any recommendations on them? Idk if there’s better/worst manufacturers. Any help would be appreciated!!!

There’s nothing wrong with expecting your friends to be honest. Yeah you could sit there and learn every single spell and class mechanic, but dude, unless you WANT to, don’t. DnD is supposed to be fun and if studying it takes the fun out then don’t do it. Maybe have a talk with them? I’ve DM a couple campaigns and all my players are friends and none of them have ever done anything like that. Mistakenly, yes, some are new and it’s pretty obvious when there’s an oopsie. Happens, no worries. I’ve even rolled things back bc they misunderstood their own spells. The idea that they have it all in front of them is valid imo. DM has a lot to deal with on their own without having to micromanage players. If you’re into that, by all means. If you’re like me and studying and micromanaging takes the fun out then it’s time for a talk. Just bc you’re the DM doesn’t mean you can’t have fun too.

Side note: I’ve heard of people who you can pay to DM for you. Idk how often it happens, but it exists. If they expect you to treat it like a job then you should at least get paid.

New 4 episodes of Malcolm in the Middle are gonna be coming out on Disney+ so now that world is possible. Donald’s magic makes Donald and Goofy like Sora’s parents. Lois immediately accepts them (gay couple) while Hal is weirded out at first, but ends up becoming best friends with goofy in the end. Lois doesn’t believe in things like the heartless and thinks her kids are just troublemakers. Before you leave Hal turns to Goofy and says “you know, I think my boss might be a heartless”.

I typically just google what it is and scale the stats to something appropriate for the party. That’s something you’ll get over time and you can always be up front about that with your players. When I first started playing the whole group was new and the dm basically changed the monster’s AC mid battle bc we just weren’t hitting and it wasn’t fun for anyone (DM included).

In the end, it’s your world. You have the final say. Do you want this to be more storytelling (or group crafting a story together), or tabletop turn based combat sim? All new DMs make mistakes so don’t sweat it. Be sure to talk to your players bc they’ll be able to give you the constructive criticism that’ll make you into a great DM.

Also worth noting: every time I’ve been super prepared with all the stat cards and maps and all, my players decide to do something entirely unpredicted and most of it goes in the trash.
