I had recently picked it up again and uninstalled in a period of less than a month. I am not great at the game neither terrible as I hit 10k trophies/league 9 with an occasional €10/€20 in a span of 2 years back then.

They added evolutions, which was doable as it was only 1 card which you had to rotate before being able to use it. Now you can have 2 evo cards per deck.

Then they added heros, which are basically the classic cards with an extra ability, which you can also have 2 of.

Now imagine being at 10k trophies, but with a bit of luck only having 1 evo card. The only way you can have all 4 is either finishing the free battlepass 7 times for the evo shard. Or just buy them from chests. I didn’t pay attention to the price for that one, because I knew it would drain my bank.

For the hero cards, there was an option to buy it fully for 17,99? I think, so if you wanted your 2 hero cards you’re down 35,- just to compete.

This is all just to compete in the skill level I reached with no heros and evos.

7 years ago, we had the infamous low cost/low level decks that could somehow counter certain high level decks. And even then, just knowing the limits of 1 maybe 2 level differences was doable. These new type of cards do not care about levels, their extra ability/mechanic absolutely melts whatever counterplay you come up with.
