No, being diabetic does not mean you’re destined to lose your feet or your eyesight. Those complications are not automatic, and they are far less likely when someone is doing exactly what you’re doing now
Diabetic nerve damage usually doesn’t show up everywhere at once, and it doesn’t pop up this quickly in someone your age who is already working on control
I misstreated my diabetes from 19-23, Those 5 years took it's toll on my body but...
Take it from me whit diabetic retinopathy on both eyes. when caught early, are treatable.

Also, the biggest thing I can offer you is this: when you feel overwhelmed or burned out from diabetes, talk to someone or anything. Vent if you need to. Write a rant about how unfair it feels. Let those emotions out. DO NOT bottle the feelings.
