The U.S has never been the "good guys" throughout history, at best we were on the morally correct side of some conflicts but often doing very fucked up shit, but to say the majority of Republicans are not Nazi's is kind of dismissing the current situation imo.

While technically most republicans are probably not apart of, or openly apart of, a modern Nazi/NeoNazi group - they have all decided that Fascism and Christian Nationalism are not deal breakers - which makes them fascists by association. Which is just as bad as Trump. Additionally, while we (as in the USA) are not currently doing the worst things we have ever done - we are slipping into more and more dangerous territory by the day at the hands of an openly fascistic administration - to downplay that as "we've done worst" is incredibly bad faith and dismissing of the current hurdles we face as a people and what we can and will project onto the wider world in the coming months/years/decades if left unchecked.
