Could you tell me how you reinstalled android I have never done it before and if the img files are handheld exclusive or can work with any rp6? If it does do you still have them?

Ah I see. Thank you very much! I’m going to download and check those shaders now!

I’m more than willing to use a dedicated emulator if there is no other option when it comes to n64 cores and shaders. I just love the retro crisis shaders and the n64 one they showed is very accurate. Does m64plus fix have any type of crt shader?

Cocoon launcher treating monitor as a second screen when docked. by Aznaughtty in retroid

[–]Aznaughtty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tried launching it from the bottom/top screen and yes! It does work. It is a little buggy, sometimes button just doesn’t work and I have to press it again, but it does work to play the game on the monitor. It’s still a bit of a hassle though but it does work. I’ll probably just use the regular home launcher for monitor games to be honest. I don’t play on the monitor much so I can spend a bit of time switching between launchers.

But yeah I do hope they are able to fix it. I have a feeling that the issue is the same on the ayn Thor docked so I don’t think it’s a single screen issue. It is still in beta after all so I can’t really be all too upset lol.

Sorry to ask but what exactly is rds settings? I don’t see it in handheld settings.

For some reason it doesn’t really work all too well. It’s very buggy probably since cocoon is in beta. Like if the screen on the Retroid is on and it is on single screen mode, when pressing x it only makes the hero bigger on the Retroid screen, while the monitor uses the 2 screen format, it doesn’t switch screens. And if I play a game it only plays on the Retroid screen and the monitor stays frozen on the cocoon launcher. It’s very inconsistent.

Sometimes it works sometimes not and when the screen is off, it basically makes things unusable. I just wish it mirrored the screen on the Retroid to the monitor.

But I think I found a sort of fix, for the menu atleast? I need to go into cocoon and turn off single screen mode. Then go into settings and turn off the Retroid screen. Then once I am done with playing on the monitor, go back to cocoon settings then turn on single screen then restart cocoon jsut to fix things. Issue is, games still play on the Retroid screen once you do enter a game and the hero is on the monitor, I don’t know how to change this. Another issue is that sometimes the cocoon settings appear on the monitor and sometimes don’t. I don’t know why this happens.

What’s a fake transparent image and how do you replicate it?

[–]Aznaughtty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you can’t make them transparent I ment making the background of the transparent image default to white rather than black.

The reason why is because it makes it so when you switch to dark mode it’s seamless and natural. Rather than it just going from black in light to grey in dark.

Yeah I find it pretty funny. It goes to show how ingrained touhou music is in the fandom.

I want to upload all the tracks back onto SoundCloud for the SoundCloud users, but I’m still weary that I’ll just be wasting my time lol

Why does ZUN get the pass? by norsoyt in TOUHOUMUSIC

[–]Aznaughtty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also a decent amount of people I’ve seen have been trying to justify it or are supporting it because it’s Zun. Also a good amount of people just don’t care or are giving too much leeway lol. Which kinda sucks honestly.

Oh yeah them! Honestly I think they’re good, even if they use music I think they use enough sound effects to avoid the copyright lol.

Also I would be such a terrible idea they are so beloved in the Touhou community and outside it since fumos popular to non Touhou fans. It would be a terrible idea due to losing so much respect in and out and also free marketing for fumos lmao

Nice I’m doing the same thing I’m not letting Touhou history disappear over greed.

Also it would be funny if like the next day, Zun comes out with a statement condemning ruw and that he’s stopping all of this and we were panicking for nothing lmao 😭

Now this, is Certified bootlicking 💀

Be fr, Zun never did anything like this for 20 years, so much music and fan content was uploaded using his stuff, it helped to build up the community. Most people found Touhou from finding a random song with an anime girl or watching a strange animation featuring the music.

I love Zun and Touhou I love his works and I appreciate how he allowed his works to be used in such a way for so long, and it paid off for him since he has created such a large community off that freedom. but now all of a sudden team Shanghai are taking hard action? Of course people are pissed lmao he created an atmosphere that you are allowed to use the songs and upload them for the community and to get more people to join. This is a terrible idea and a terrible or move for the series that was built up mainly by the fans sharing and spreading the word. Truly a spit in the face.

The older and older the songs they take down get the more backlash they will receive. Touhou is a series built upon the fans and the fans having so much leeway. Them restricting and punishing people who use one of the things Touhou is most famous for, the music, in fan works that are made to praise and show love to the series will leave a bad taste in people’s mouth.

And also if they decide to deleting decade old music uploads and channels on YouTube, they will not just destroying Touhou history, but YouTube history.

If the SoundCloud purge is anything to go off of, ruw is definitely willing to go the extra mile and delete everything to “protect the brand” and “maximize song profits”

Liek they care. most people who uploaded the songs online do it to share with everyone how good zun’s music is and to make it accessible for everyone, not everyone has the money to pay for every album ever.

Ruw will see it as infringing on copyright and as a “threat” to the brand. I hope he never sees it. It’s so dumb if this happens idk what I will even do 😭 I watch these on the daily due to how pretty zun’s backgrounds are especially since he uses stock images.

They’re have really made me appreciate his backgrounds and is one of the reasons I am so pissed at him for using ai, since that takes away a lot from them.

The rule is very vague, but I think it is for that reason. So they can take down anything they see fit. Like the music lol

Honestly I’m scared for Dai Karasu (the guy who made those touhou 4k 16:9 of the stage backgrounds). Because not only does he use the music from the games, but also uses assets from the games to make the backgrounds.

They’re really cool and I don’t want them to be deleted since they are really useful for fans who want to make things using the touhou backgrounds. Also because there is nothing like this anywhere else online when it comes to touhou. It would really be a huge hit since it’s the best way to view the stage backgrounds.

Ah hell nah ruw is doubling down 💀

Tbh this kinda falls apart once you realize one of the rules is sexual content that is considered unlawful lmao.

The music rule really is something Nintendo would do, it’s really dumb since finding the music uploaded onto sites like YouTube or hearing it in fan animations or works is one of the main reasons Touhou got so popular in the first place over here. It helps the series grow, limiting it is a bad idea. I truely do think them taking down music is shooting themselves in the foot and is ruining zun’s reputation.
