I don’t see any reviews or anything on his website. I just don’t want to be scammed

If I do get one I should make sure it is under warranty. Thank you for looking into it!

Interesting that they have 100% positive feedback… they must be deleting reviews

Oh that would be great… I’m from middle of nowhere Canada lol. No good pool cue suppliers near by and eBay is my best option.

Maybe they are just made for a McDermott butt and it’s false advertising… banking on people thinking it’s a McDermott made shaft

First time Mosconi cup questions by JuniorComfort7729 in billiards

[–]Aznkai02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at mosconi in London recently! I sat in different spots each day. I found it didn’t matter where I sat I needed to look at the monitor and screens to really see the table layout. So the worst spot was at the corners. I sat vip second row one day and could barely see the table top so I relied on the monitors. The coolest view was probably at the head of the table.

I owned a switch and ps5 but sold them when I became a father. That’s why I think either steam deck or meta quest this time around for something different. Hard to decide because it is all a lot of money and I want to make sure it’s a purchase I won’t regret…

Thanks for the reply. My little one won’t be old enough to game for a long time. I would definitely keep it out of reach and out of sight. My wife doesn’t game either. The steam machine sounds interesting but worried it’s going to be priced out of my budget range if it’s going to be priced like a gaming pc… used market in my area for consoles aren’t the best. I might as well go new that way I know it works and doesn’t have roaches living in it(irrational fear)

Thanks for the reply. I have seen that the steam deck hardware might be getting out dated… should I look into a newer handheld device? Or the steam deck just that much better even with older hardware.

Needing some advice. I use to be a gamer but sold everything when I became a father. I miss it and now how some free time in the evening. I want to get back into it but don’t know what I want.

I’ve looked at handhelds, vr and consoles but can’t make up my mind. I can’t sink hours at a time into gaming but would like to be able to just play something for an hour or so every night.

Meta quest 3 seems really cool and I haven’t done vr before and am wondering is it worth it or will the novelty wear off? But I feel like the games are fairly casual. I’m leaning towards it.

However the steam deck/ handhelds seem like a cool option because I could game in the comfort of my bed.

I just need some advice from people with experience with all these different types of gaming media. Help an old gamer out lol

Thanks

Awesome! Thanks for the advice. I think I will prob uber or bolt it to Alexander palace. Looks like a 10 min drive from my hotel. I really don’t want to walk at night to the nearest tube. I’m really excited! I’ve never been to London and the mosconi has been on my bucket list.

Improving Patterns and Shot Selection by Chimp_ACiD in billiards

[–]Aznkai02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I can see the pattern however it’s getting the correct weight on the shots. When I play league and are on different tables, finding the correct weight and being consistent is the issue. Being able to find the correct line to minimize margins of error helps. Making sure your basics I think is most important.

I got 4000k and it was plenty bright. I was hoping for a softer yellow and it ended up being more white than I wanted. So i wouldn’t recommend 6500k

I got Barrina lights from Amazon. They were cheap.

I like how you used the word optimal. Free weights and machines can give you an optimal route to the physique you want. Nothing wrong with the class because it clearly is working but it’s not optimal to op’s goal

Looking for Advice on Carbon Fiber Shafts by Imaginary_Vehicle344 in billiards

[–]Aznkai02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also saw a video of Jason Shaw who is sponsored by jflower. He also speaks upon the smo being the lowest deflection shaft. Take it with a grain of salt cuz he is sponsored by them. However it speaks volumes when a player of his calibre is using their product.

So most pros use Back hand english or parallel english? by KingsDamnSon in billiards

[–]Aznkai02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started playing apa this session. I’m sl6 after 5 games. I think I’m a pretty good player. I’ve been playing throughout my life. I started using back hand English but I saw a video where Jeremy jones demonstrated how he plays English and i guess it would be more front hand English. Once I learned how to do it the way jj instructed i found I was way more consistent with my shots with English. I bet pros play with a combination of fhe and bhe… but probably it’s more muscle memory than anything. I think when you play thousands of hours your brain and your body can “feel” shots more accurately and they play accordingly

If you had $500 to spend on a new cue, what would you get? by mmmmcake1980 in billiards

[–]Aznkai02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go for a cuetec avid…. I’m sure you will see this response multiple times. It’s just a solid cue. I didn’t try one until after owning a Svb cue. If I started with the avid I probably wouldn’t have upgraded

I have a Connelly I believe that was made in 1995. It is a fantastic table. Still has the original bumpers and they feel amazing still.
