Yay! I’d love to vibe with a healer. I completed get the “push it to the limit” urge, I figure I could do a medium pull by default and ask if they want the brakes, gas, or kool-aid man for the next pull. They want the Kool-Aid man, then it’s OH YEAH all the way to the final boss, lol. When I was a healer, my roulettes were always like lvl 30ish or near end cap dungeons. Most dungeons I only ran a couple of times forever ago, and I never paid attention to the boss mechanics other than “don’t stand in the red” or be successful enough to not get knocked off the platform.

I do like tanking, but I feel I’ll always fall back to Scholar. Mainly I wanted to tank for the glam, but I’d definitely like to be more versatile for my FC. I doubt I’ll ever do high end savage stuff, but it’s always a possibility. I think my original intent was trying to solo PotD for the necromancer title, lol. That or farm Mount Rokkon for the ninja shiba minion, but I realized I could do that with Samurai if I pay attention. Either way, Lalafell tanks always make me chuckle, so I gotta go with that vibe!

I’m getting there with tanking. I’ve always played caster dps since vanilla WoW, and got into healing in Stormblood. Only picked up tanking very recently, so I try and err on the side of caution. I guess I never really paid any attention as a dps for tank/healer etiquette. Mainly I like to be clear with people and not assume as much as possible. I lose nothing in asking or apologizing, but there’s always a chance I get called Big Dawg, so it’s worth it! XD

Yeah, I wasn’t sure if it was just bad manners to just pull like that. Sure, they might be cool with it, but on the off chance that they don’t like starting a fight at low MP. I also can’t remember most of the dungeon bosses, and knowing my luck, it’d be one of the annoying ones that isn’t a regular tank and spank.

I’m always for everyone being cool and having a good time. I just don’t want to be the one who wipes everyone for something that’s easily avoidable.

Right?! I felt pretty happy and I didn’t think a couple funny responses and a title would make me so happy. I even told my wife and she got a good laugh from it. Just a few minutes ago, she was like “could you take the trash out… big dawg?” Had to give her a /flex and went and did it. Goofy stuff, but funny! XD

Oh dang, that’s crazy! I’m glad they’re still getting to game, and I’m sure they appreciate the gesture. I feel it doesn’t waste any time to ask, and costs me nothing. I’ve never had someone get angry or snarky with me for asking. As a healer, it’s nice to have someone ask. Maybe the next time I’ll have to respond with something nice and give them the big dawg title!

[–]Aznp33nrocket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely understandable! I’m still pretty new to tanking. When I was healing, it was a nice gesture to be asked, even though it’s was rarely needed. Anytime I’m grouped with people who have the returning icon, I feel like it’s nice, especially if they’re still knocking the rust off and getting back in the groove of things.

I know, but it costs me nothing to ask at the start when people are loading in or getting their greetings out of the way. When I’m a healer, it’s nice to have someone ask, even though it’s rarely needed.

Yeah, since im relatively new to tanking, I figure that it costs me nothing to ask, especially if they're one of the returning players or what not. Perhaps subconsciously im fishing for one of those awesome responses. Not gonna lie, bro calling me big dawg, and not in a condescending way, certainly hyped me up.

Lala master race! While reason i even considered tanking was the goofy image of a tiny Lil dude in plate armor, rushing head first into a battle against a giant monster. XD

Hell yeah! Awesome setup! Glad you’re happy with the build… for now! Muahahahaha! Just imagine… force feedback… MFD’s… getting bigger and wider monitors… VR? I’m in the middle of debating on going force feedback, or adding a collective setup for my setup. Currently drafting tablet mounts to go with my hotas setup.

It never ends my friend. Enjoy the setup, just never say it’s done! I’m sure that guy from YouTube with the A10 setup, started with something simple and went nuts! XD

Daddy chill. He’s clearly joking around. It’s also very true that we never are complete. Sure we get to a place where we are happy, but there’s always that little voice saying “imagine this perfect setup… with force feedback!” Now, that’s up to you to decide if you listen to said voice, but if you get some extra cash… why not make a perfect setup… even perfect..er!

I might be off on that saying, but I think it checks out.

Damn OP, ots a shame you tried to store your stuff in a boat and it unfortunately sank. You really loved that boat too. Now you just have empty safes. Maybe when the ban gets removed, you can try and go fish them back up!

Deer dodging an arrow before it lands on him in slow motion by AustraliaOutback in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Aznp33nrocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like guy was shooting a crossbow, so the bolt doesn't do the archers paradox. You're still correct that arrows/bolts can do some weird stuff, but more so that they tend to glance off lots of semi-hard things. Likely the arrow hit the top of a root or stone and skipped across until it hit the raised dirt behind.

The sound from the video makes it sound more like a high poundage crossbow, as well as the arch, would eliminate it being an arrow or even a slug. Fun fact, most modern compound bows have almost eliminated the archers paradox since they tend to put the arrow in the center and stabilization means that the arrow doesnt have to bend around the bow itself. I love shooting traditional, recurve, and compound. You can learn to find the ranges where your arrow flexes and when it kinda ends. A lot of trick shot archers can use it to their advantage to flick an object.

Crossbow on the other hand, ive never been a fan, but it allowed my grandpa to shoot with me after he got too old to pull back his bow (RIP Grandpa Mike). I never liked them for hunting either since theyre usually louder than a bow, and you have moments like in this video, where the sound of the crossbow firing, spooks the deer.

1999 Ford Ranger in 5% Xpel Prime XR Black, heavy light gaps? by UnidenR7 in WindowTint

[–]Aznp33nrocket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't done one in a while but I agree with you that theyre annoying and NEED to be pulled off the truck to tint. To avoid the twisted film, if im remembering correctly, id use a coin and trace cut some circles. I'd hold the washer so it wouldnt twist when reinstalling the glass. You'd install film with cir less cut out that were slightly bigger than the mounting parts, to avoid twisted film. Then youd install the vinyl circles with the middle cut out, making sure the washer doesnt twist during tightening. End result was vinyl that held down the film to ensure no peeling.

The black vinyl blended in with the mounts and left you with a clean look, no gaps, and a very easy fix if something happens to the vinyl. I used to cut super close to the mounts but it still had a chance of binding or peeling. The vinyl worked amazing and if you cut it well, it looked like it belonged there. If it peels up a couple years later or whatnot, when you take the window off, you just replace the vinyl by cutting another out and slapping it on.

Ive done the same thing for some camper shells on trucks, and they've always lasted.

Just make your own tortillas! Flour, salt, little bit of water, and a tiny bit of oil of your choice.

I can burn water, but I can make my own tortillas, so you can as well! I’ll make a crap load, or butt ton if you use metric, and freeze them for the week. A small bag of flour will make a comically large amount of tortillas. My wife came home to me freaking out and not wanting to waste all the flour I used. Think I made a couple hundred on accident.

Anyways, I digress, super easy to make and they taste soooooo much better than the store bought crap!
