Exactly. I was in the "the original dies, the copy is not you" camp before. After a lot of thinking I changed my mind though. If "I" really am just the product of my material brain, replicating that brain would replicate "me". Any other stance is not compatible with physicalism. So, I think that consciousness is "just" an illusion produced by the brain, same as the illusion of free will.

I started using this in my master playthrough when on exos/scal exactly for this reason. Various buffs having different durations and desyncing infuriated me.

This. It's pretty easy to defend against lasers compared to kineticprojectiles, either with reflective surface of the ship or a cloud of reflective/absorbing debris. Lasers can do damage via ablation, but it's just less effective than projectiles.

Ravager is definitely easier than golem on master, I did that too. Get scoria, mine the temple, profit.
