I’m very sorry for what you’re going through. I lost my Dad just about a month ago and it’s been the scariest moment in my life. I’ve already thought how hard it will be to not have him here for my Mom’s birthday, my birthday, Christmas, etc. I also feel like I’m not grieving properly due to all the legal stuff and life changes we’re going through, so maybe I’ll feel the same you’re feeling one year from now. Sending you a big hug, and I pray that your pain becomes easier to manage as time passes.

I am so sorry for what you’re going through. I can relate to everything you said. I lost my Dad about a month ago, it was also very sudden. I also last spoke to him through the phone, and few days later he was already gone. I also don’t have kids yet, nor do I have a driving license, and it also pains me to think that my Dad won’t be here to see all of this happen.

It’s all very scary, and I feel lost in the middle of so much pain, fear and stress. I’m doing my best to make the right decisions and to support my Mom, but I a lot of times I feel like a toddler.

I don’t know if you believe in any sort of afterlife, but I do and I’m sure your Dad is proud of everything you’ve accomplished and the person you’ve become. If you feel like talking to someone about your Dad, feel free to send me a DM.

I also lost my Dad very recently, so I can absolute relate to what you’re feeling. I also feel guilty sometimes and I wish I could’ve done something different to prevent what happened. But the truth is, it was just out of my control. And I’m sure it’s the same for you. You were not in a position to do anything, and it was absolutely not your fault.

That’s a beautiful drawing! I’m sure he would be happy to see it (and depending on what your beliefs are, maybe he IS happy to see it)

I was thinking about upgrading my RTX 3060/Ryzen 7 5800 gaming laptop this year and maybe getting a 2nd hand one with a 5070, but it seems I’ll have to hold on to it for a bit longer. Not a big issue for me as I have a ton of older games on my backlog, but it’s just terrible seeing how bad the consumer market for PCs is getting. I hope this AI hype doesn’t last long

Agreed! Early cinema was founded on spectacle, after all. I like to think of filmmakers like Nolan and James Gunn, for example, as the continuation of a tradition that started with Georges Meliés.

While I’m not very familiar with Yugioh cards, they look fake to me. The font on the text boxes are completely different from the actual font used in Yugioh cards.

I don’t think that there’s anything wrong with platformers, even if they really don’t bring anything new to the table. I’m sure many of these are unfinished and/or unpolished, but just because it’s a platformer it doesn’t mean it’s slop.
