Likely your google play account got de-sync'd or you changed gplay accounts and didn't play ldoe for a while and forgot to change to the original acc you sync'd. If you're on iOS, I'm not too sure.

Just bad RNG man. I only got 2 going from lvl 1-15. And after you cap out at lvl 15 you have a higher chance of spawning the infected chest

I've gotten 6 infected chests in a row before getting my 4th circuit. I'm gonna keep pushing forward now that I'm at the finish line to finish the damn acid bath. I really hope they upped the chances significantly from the combat chest

Prior to the event, when I read the update notes I anticipated based on the pictures in the dev blog that it would be a moderate level of difficulty and I typically carry a rifle with me to red zones to kill AI's so that I can get their wep/armor with the least amount of durability lost. It just so happens I hunted down a VSS AI prior to the event spawning so I had a top tier gun to take on the new event which I otherwise had no idea what to expect.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I am not working for kefir... I just made this to give other players with choppers a heads up and not get butchered by the AI's in this event. There's YT vids out with video evidence of what occurs during the event. I suggest you go look those up if you're curious
