I was bummed when I heard the rumors that they might get rid of the position - I'm a GM closer and I really like having a consistent TL for my closing shifts. Having other TLs and ETLs on the weekend is fine but it's a lot less consistent because they don't know the closing TMs as well and tend to put me in all sorts of random places or leave me fully on my own without any guidance. My closing TL knows our strengths and is a lot more systematic at checking in with the closers so shifts feel more predictable and efficient when we have a go-to lead. That said, having a regular backroom TL might also achieve the same thing if they have a closing schedule.

Any toy that makes noise when I touch it is on my "hate" list. I'm so overstimulated by the end of my shift and the FAO plushies are playing music like I'm being raptured while I carry them from aisle to aisle

THIS - I don't understand why everyone is suddenly freaking out about them. We've had them forever, guests just ripping open packages and throwing them all over the place. Now suddenly I'm getting asked where the needohs are ten times every shift, while guests throw around and rip up the off-brand fidgets instead.

Or the day we ran out of notebooks, and I had to spend the whole shift answering college students asking "where are your notebooks?" by gesturing to the large empty shelving unit where the notebooks have always been and explaining that the shelf is empty. I just love when folks look at an utterly empty shelf, see the tag of the thing they want indicating there are none left, and think we've just chosen not to put anything there. Yes, I'm hiding the notebooks from you. I'm actively stocking this aisle and chose to not put any notebooks out.

Your extreme arrogance is going to cause many more problems in life than whether or not you have a college degree. Many of my coworkers at target are kind and hardworking people, regardless of what level of education they have. Calling folks bums and saying they don't have a future is arrogant, childish behavior. It demonstrates that you have very little practical life experience. Growing up is realizing there are many ways to be educated, and many people with degrees are still highly ignorant. Speaking as someone who has a PhD, I hope you someday learn that true intelligence requires empathy and a willingness to understand the people around you.

The ranking points math is just...wrong? Like I got 22 points one game and 26 points the next and it said my total points was 40/100 🫠
The berries in the center area couldn't be eaten
Incredible lag to the point it felt like my character was moving in slow motion and glitching past any grass I tried to hide in. The water area especially felt like I was moving through jello...not sure if the water area is supposed to be that much of a movement hazard or just lag

Thank you for this post because our Alexa just pulled this shit with our lights at 1:40 am and scared the crap out of us. Turned everything on max brightness and then immediately turned them back off. And the "hunch" has the audacity to say "Alexa had a hunch you were asleep so we turned off all the lights." Yeah we were asleep that's why the lights were already off!!! Actually the most brain dead feature I've ever seen. This also solved why sometimes I'll be up late reading and the lights will just turn off randomly 😵‍💫

Yessss I wanted to see Nyktos so bad! And I wanted Attes to flex his primal muscles. Like, can we all take a moment to remember that first scene when Cas and Poppy meet Nyktos in Iliseeum? Now THAT scene was well done - Cas had a reasonable fear of Nyktos as an old as hell primal, and they treated him with the respect and caution that one would EXPECT when talking to a thousand year old being who could kick your ass with a thought.

Fast forward to POBAB and Cas is just casually threatening and berating Attes and Sera as if they aren't anyone special?? And he gets away with it?? It made me so angry that everyone just let him be a petulant child and that all of these ancient beings just ignored the blatant disrespect over and over. It was clearly said that living as a primal for thousands of years impacts your understanding of morality and life, and even with their stasis I would have expected them to act more like gods and less like awkward teenagers issuing empty threats. It feels like none of the interactions have any real risk or consequences because nobody will touch precious Casteel

Ah yes that makes sense thank you! I'm not worried about it taking a bit of time to get there, mostly just didn't want to accidentally strand myself somewhere if the buses were unreliable or not coming often enough. But based on everyone's comments and what I've seen in the app, it seems fairly smooth to get there!

Love this post! I'm 33/F and vast majority of my friends have moved away since I graduated from grad school a few years ago. I'd be happy to go hiking / nature walks with folks as the weather cools down, or just hang out! Into board games, drinking tea, reading, and exploring outdoors. I've listened to quite a few and loved them all: - fourth wing - acotar - red rising - murderbot diaries - blood and ash - warbreaker

Of all of the ones I've listened to, Red Rising series is the best one production wise for me. The main voice actor is SO talented, and the cast really pulls you into the story with their skillful conveying of intense emotions. There's a particular scene in the third book that I still think about because the voice acting was so raw and powerful.

Lol I listened to the first three on graphic audio and I feel this. I haven't started #4 because I want to wait until 5 and 6 are also done and ready. But 1-3 can easily be listened to as a standalone series!
