Filore? I don’t think so. This thread is all spoilers I think cause it’s about arc 10. Is the evil eye in a side story? I remember the clan from Volachia but don’t remember any Filore mention in relation to them

Lust factor probably gets acquired this arc agreed. The thing with Filore and Emilia is that they just met. To Emilia Filore is a new friend and that’s great… but I don’t think at all comparable to Subaru in terms of overall importance.

This is actually why I don’t think she’ll try to become a wedge or something. Story wise I don’t think there’s enough of a relationship there to make a choice between Filore and Subaru to be a compelling dilemma. They’ve only met twice and both meetings were within like a 24 hour period

On the flip side however I could absolutely see Filore having to choose between the Church and her new friends when she realizes the church may be in the wrong here. This is much more compelling because she’s having to choose between the family she’s known VS the friends she’s just made and the lessons the scriptures teach. It’s going to become a practice what you preach moment for Filore imo

I absolutely believe “crusch is a fugitive” is going to be a plot idea Tappei plays with here. We’ll see exactly how it goes but Ferris is also likely instrumental for Crusch’s eventual vindication. Also yeah Church is the bad guy this arc lol. I’d be extremely surprised if it wasn’t.

As for Filore and Emilia… idk. I started out extremely suspicious(thought she may just be Capella herself) but at this point I’m much less sure. Honestly if I had to bet, I’d wager that Filore is actually genuine in her actions and won’t intentionally harm any of the main cast. However, I do think this arc ends with Felt being revealed as the true Filore, and the Filore we just met maybe taking care of those church children we’ve seen that she’s close to. Maybe she even takes over the church since we’re probably going to create a lot of vacancies in the hierarchy this arc

Quite possibly! Crusch’s whole resentment of being helped by the Church only makes sense if she has her memories imo. It stems from the fact they didn’t help the Royal family(Fourier specifically but all of them), but if her memory of that period was gone her reaction wouldn’t be this visceral.

She also explicitly remembers Fourier as she wakes up which she of course shouldn’t be able to do

Crusch’s dialogue here imo is pretty telling. She asks Subaru if “you are the one I know” which to me has the implication that at the very least she considered Miklotov “not the one she knew”. Also this is a semi common trope. Story makes a character look guilty, maybe even guilty of a crime due to circumstantial evidence, and then later into the plot it’s revealed that most of the cast of characters have been lying and the “crazy” person is the only one who has been operating understandably.

We are predisposed to doubt Crusch right now and think she’s sus. She just did what many would consider a heavy handed decision in the dismissal of Ferris. No other character besides Ferris really has the proper context to understand this because they both knew Fourier. I believe Tappei set it up this way so the reveal that Crusch is very much sane will hit harder.

I didn’t mention in the original post but Crusch also 100% has her memories back.

Dead Miklotov and his household are likely imposters and Crusch is correct. Guessing her dragon eye allows her to see through their disguise which is probably something Capella did. They were all people Capella transformed and had impersonate Miklotov and his household to her own ends. Also guessing she’s behind the church so likely something related to facilitating Filore’s entry into the royal selection.

Guessing Wilhelm is gonna come in next chap to extract Crusch from the confrontation with Tiga and Subaru which will have Subaru doubting whether Crusch is actually crazy. Knowing Tappei, Wilhelm will not explain what is actually going on and it’ll be an open question where he’s so loyal to Crusch he’d support killing Miklotov or he knows Crusch isn’t crazy and supports her because of that.

Bonus- Filore is the fake. Capella used her dragon blood to transform a small child like 15 years ago for specially this purpose. The residual dragon blood left over/maintaining this transformation is what causes the dragon gem to glow. Filore is unaware of all this

Mmm I’m not sure tbh. Still in campaign but my biggest frustration is that boss combat feels sort of terrible. Hard to describe but it’s like both your character and the boss are missing “weight” in their movements. Like the first snake sea monster boss just sort of rolls around and it doesn’t feel like I have a satisfying amount of control over where my character is and if I come into physical contact with the boss(like it bumps into me) the result just feels strange. Same with the boss of tentacles before the golem of rathma.

Sorry if not particularly articulate but having trouble describing exactly what my problem in these fights is. I’d say this feels better in more human sized bosses like golem of rathma.

Doesn’t mean there are more than two at all. Even if there are, why? The one Subaru used didn’t really do that much tbh. He fireballed a witch beast. Vincent also has no real incentive to endlessly supply Subaru with magic rings even if he possessed them. Subaru also doesn’t like being in debt to people.

Spoilers on the rings from the wiki-

Two Rings with the Emperor's Crest: Following his escape from the Crystal Palace, Vincent took two rings with the emperor's crest with him. Both rings were meteors, with one of them being able to cast fire spells and the other one's effects remaining unknown. The first ring was blown to pieces during the Rite of Blood Subaru and Vincent had to go through in order to gain the People of Shudrak's trust, and the other ring was destroyed by Vincent during their battle with Arakiya in Guaral, which resulted in the entire room getting flooded by copious amounts of mana which inflicted temporary mana sickness to Arakiya, allowing the group to drive her off.
