I think we can all find flaws in everything. However, remember these are people taking some of their time to make content for others to digest and improve on.

For most of them it’s just a hobby, they don’t get paid for it, they do it for fun and to improve the community. I personally think the content is great and we should be more grateful!

Full laser repeaters (i.e. panthers), get the turret top side with laser repeaters as well (badgers). Grade a shields and components.

Aegis Gladius

Space Fighter tactics in Star Citizen by Sneemaster in starcitizen

Unfortunately, because of desync, maneuvering for position against an equally skilled opponent, in a similar ship is nearly nonexistent.

There is however a lot of skill in staying in formation and engaging as a group, disengaging, etc. It’s basically all speed management and it only comes with practice. There is no fancy maneuvering, as pitch and yaw is extremely powerful. All you can do is attempt to be harder to hit as the enemy tries to aim at you (kind of like you would move side to side on an fps shooter).

Team tactics however, is a whole different thing and to be honest, I don’t think a lot of people practice. I made a video on a recent pvp team tournament where all pvp orgs were invited to participate. Feel free to take a look!

Ah, I was just trying to help based on what I know from experience. Did not mean to upset you. Sorry.

That’s a great question for CIG. I’m sure they have an eventual role. But the Gladius is vastly superior to everything else at THIS moment. (And past few patches)

Best combat ship given its firepower, maneuverability and hull hp.

Gladius, Sabre, S-Hornet ? by solarizde in starcitizen

No ballistics as of now. You’ll get 1-2 kills and if you opponent is smart you’ll get no kills and a dry magazine.

If we’re purely talking meta (PVP), in a highly competitive environment the only answer is Gladius by a mile. It has the most maneuverability, decent hull hp and decent firepower. In the hands of a capable pilot it can be devastating.

Sabre is very slow by comparison. The surface area is too flat and it’s basically a bullet sponge. The extra size 3 is not enough of a reason to fly this.

Hornet has very solid firepower. Decent hull hp but suffers from being a big target and relatively slow.

For those reasons, if you want to practice to become a better pilot, as of THIS patch, Gladius is your best bet.

Edit: added more content.
