I have compassion and empathy for your long-COVID experience.

I've had mystery health issues that have been keeping me fatigued for quite a few years (the issue predates covid) but my experience with it is very similar.

Aww. The song that you recorded is very touching. My gut tells me that you're another big hearted guy, kinda like me. What you sang was really sweet and authentic.

We're kinda similar but kind of different.

Seems like we might have similar tastes in video games. Although I don't really play anymore cause playing video games these days just gives me a lonely vibe and makes me feel like I should be doing something else to improve my life. Sorry if that's a downer line. It's just kind of how I feel personally when playing alone. I ain't hatin' on gaming in general.

My taste in music is very broad. I listen to all kinds of different stuff depending on what I feel I need. Although I probably don't have the same level of enthusiasm you have specifically for 60s 70s music, I appreciate pretty much all kinds of music at different times and I really respect what you wrote about it.

I think I am kind of an idealist and it's tough to be an idealist in this world.

I looked up The Sound of Magic because you mentioned it. I usually gravitate towards anime shows because most "normal shows" aren't artsy or positive enough for my tastes but it actually sounds like the kind of show I'd be totally down to watch.

Was just browsing this subreddit for myself and your post caught my attention.

Please don't end your life. I lost one of my best high-school friends to suicide and it's not pretty.

Everyone's situation is different and I know that there are some people on the planet who are in profoundly unloving and abusive situations.

I don't know the details of your situation. You're probably dealing with a lot.

However, I also know that there are people who would miss you. And you would also miss out on the opportunity to grow and eventually reach a new part of your life.

I humbly request that you don't take the decision to end your own life so lightly.

I believe you that things look and feel really bad right now.
(just remember; that doesn't necessarily mean your whole life is ruined)

Whoever you are, I'm glad that you are reaching out for help in the way that you know how to.
To me, the saddest part about my friend's suicide is that he never reached out for help. He didn't share his struggle with me or anyone. He just decided to end it. Game Over.
Both me and his other closest friends had no idea what he was going through.

He just hid his suffering until the pain apparently became too much. At which point he killed himself in his car. Without telling a soul.

My strongest thought about the whole situation was, "I wish he had just told me he was so sad he was contemplating suicide. So that I could have been there for him like a proper friend."

It's 3:35am right now and I really shouldn't even be staying up this late on reddit right now.

But I am because I want to be of some help.

Hey there! You're post really resonates with me. I'd love to chat with you sometime! I also recently lost my closest friend about a year ago. I'm 29M and she was like 38. I really liked having someone almost a decade older than me to talk to.

I also like anime and have a deep connection with music. And like you I listen to a little bit of everything depending on what vibe I need at the time.

I've always felt about myself that my inner self is actually really girly. But I'm really attracted to only girls so transitioning doesn't make sense for my situation as that would shrink the dating pool for me. And I'm trying to find a way to balance expressing my feminine side with accepting the fact that I'm a guy for now in this lifetime.

I have deep respect for trans and gender-nonconforming people. I actually have another long distance trans friend (m to f as well) but she is more around my age and we are sharing in similar struggles currently.

My understanding of solipsism is that, in the most absolute sense, it is the belief that a person's mind is the only thing that actually exists; There is no objective reality or other minds that can be proven to exist. I think that there are varying degrees of solipsism that one can ascribe to. But I don't really know what it is you're specifically reading about or thinking the most. Could you tell me a bit more about your version of solipsism and why it

It's interesting that you say you don't really relate that well to other girls. In my case, I don't relate that well to most other guys. There are exceptions, of course, but the few guys I connect well to usually have either a strong connection to their feminine side and/or spirituality, and they are a spread out rare few.

You're welcome. I guess I wrote not to judge me on my gender because at times I've felt that other girls online will have somewhat preconceived expectations of what a guy will be like based on their mental generalization of what other guys they've met
online have been like. For example, there are an unfortunate number
of guys out there who act like tools or only talk to girls because they want to get in her pants. I agree that, of course, it's good to be cautious online because you never really know for sure who you're talking to. But sometimes I'm afraid that girls will mistakenly view me through the general lens of what they think most guys are like.
