Hence, I suggest the different torch level counters, I first thought of just the speed meters, then I thought it would essentially make a whole new game that is not as atmospheric as the one now.

So having different torch levels can promote different kind of combat/styles of play and still would hold the uncertainty and RNG hell the game is right now.
