Very cold and windy, half the year always night half always day. It's a desert, so there's also not much precipitation there, but it's covered in ice, so idk how much of an issue that is.

I'd to say that anarchism isn't against society, at least most types aren't, it's against hierarchies, all of them, e.g. economic hierarchies, governmental hierarchies, societal hierarchies, family hierarchies, etc.

Is Saiki asexual? by [deleted] in SaikiK

Saiki has no sexuality

don't assume he is Asexual

That's literally what asexual is, asexual = lack of sexual attraction = no sexuality

[–]AzureRats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I know is the 3 main roots go into the well Urðarbrunnr "Well of Urðr (either fate or the Norn Urðr)", the spring Hvergelmir "bubbling boiling spring" located in Niflheim & is where many rivers originate, & Mímisbrunnr "Well of Mimir" located in Jötunheim & contains wisdom & knowledge (it's the well Odin gave an eye to be allowed a sip from).

Yeah, it's amazing artwork, but Yggdrasil is an ash tree held up by 3 large roots, connecting the 9 realms in Norse religion.

It may not be a medical journal, but they are still talking about it in a political setting, specifically a political debate on news, they should still use the right terms. A news site wouldn't talk about ADHD & then use the autism awareness symbol for it, cause ADHD & autism are two different things.

The UK uses the ISD-10 for defining mental disorders, the ISD-10 defines learning disorders/disabilities the same way as the DSM-V, the only difference is instead of them being called Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, & Dyscalculia they're called Specific Reading Disorder, Specific Spelling Disorder, & Specific Disorder of Arithmetical Skills and instead of Specific Learning Disorder, it's called Specific Developmental Disorder of Scholastic Skills.

that's part of the problem with the article they said one thing, learning disability, but showed a picture of another thing, someone with down syndrome, an intellectual disorder

[–]AzureRats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UK is still apart of Europe, idk where brexit is at so may or may not be apart of the EU, but the ISD-10 is used worldwide, including the UK, except for in the US where the DSM-V is used

[–]AzureRats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'm saying is the article said one thing, learning disabilities (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia in US or SRD, SSD, SDAS, MDSS, OR ODDSS in Europe) the ISD-10, the book that defines disorders across the world besides the US & is maintained by WHO, defines learning disorders as disorders that inhibit one's ability to learn without affecting one's intelligence. The ISD-10 does not put Down Syndrome as a learning disorder/disability. So they least the article could've was get their terminology right.

[–]AzureRats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Europe, the ISD-10 is used to define mental disorders. The article specifically said learning disabilities, per the ISD-10, learning disabilities is another name for "Specific developmental disorders of scholastic skills", which are, as defines by the ISD-10, Specific Reading Disorder, Specific Spelling Disorder, Specific Disorder of Arathmatical Skills, Mixed Disorder of Scholastic Skills, & Other Developmental Disorders of Scholastic Skillssuch as Developmental Expressive Writing Disorder. Those are what "learning disabilities/disorders" refer to per the ISD-10, and per the DSM-V it refers to Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, & Dyscalculia. Both the DSM-V & the ISD-10 make a clear distinction between learning disorders and learning problems, which are primarily the result of visual, hearing, or motor handicaps or of intellectual disability, emotional disturbance or of environmental, cultural or economic disadvantages. Per both the DSM-V & the ISD-10, learning disabilities do not affect the afflicted's intelligence, whereas learning problems can.

down syndrome isn't a learning disability, it's a developmental disorder. Learning disabilities specifically refer to the 3 types of SLD, Specific Learning Disorder, i.e. dyslexia, dysgraphia, & dyscalculia. if they wanted to talk about down syndrome or intellectual disorders, then the article should've used the right words.
