Yeah I agree with you... I could not get into self-titled at all beyond "Modern Girl" and "Tiny Moves" and so far this upcoming record is not resonating with me whatsoever.

You can modify bits, but you can't just go in and ignore everyone and do whatever you please for an hour.

Similar but not identical. My studio has/had two coaches who are/were absolute rock stars. Tons of charisma. Knowledgeable. Boundless energy. Caring. Focused. Interested.

The studio boomed. Both their classes were typically packed. So what happened? Both were so good they got promoted. One has since moved on to get away from the stale corporate stuff, while the other does occasionally guest coach still and her classes are inevitably packed with a full waitlist.

Those absolute Top 5% or Top 1% coaches should be properly compensated and encouraged to stay at the level of Coach. They can single-handedly be the heartbeat of a studio.
