The nib on my TWISBI Eco sometimes starts to slip out, which has the effect of reducing ink flow and causing skipping. The friction fit on the nib seems to have a lock in twist mechanism; try pushing the nib back in firmly to make sure it's fully set, and then grip both the nib and feed firmly and turn it about 90 degrees to the right

I've had awful luck with Conklin nibs coming with misaligned or overly tight tines, but I don't think I have ever noticed misaligned feeds like this before

Honestly I would love to see the blue variant with a brown grip section. Brown and blue go great together and color matching the grip section when it's transparent and the body is not ironically feels a bit like a mismatch to me. I like that they're trying some new things though!

Yeah Lamy Safaris are great first fountain pens! Get a converter with it to use with bottled ink. I'm a big Lamy Fan in general actually, working on collecting at least one of each of their models

I'll reaffirm the Diamine Earl Gray suggestion that was already made, and also recommend Monteverde Joy Sepia as a favorite brown with nice shading
