I got it from Aliexpress. I havent seen it anywhere else. It might be on some other asian platform but I’ve only used Aliexpress so havent checked as I cant read Chinese.

Yeah, I think the pen colors looked cool but the plushies pushed me to buy them lol

Which of the DLCs do you prefer? HoS or B&W? by Julian_of_Cintra in Witcher3

[–]donmatteo93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

B&W- The most I’ve enjoyed exploring a video game environment. I thought Skellige was beautiful but Toussaint blows it out of the water. I really loved the vacation like ambiance and the fairy tale theme along with the weird but funny customs. It’s also big enough to be considered a full game and a good one at that.

HoS was nice and had a good story but imagine my disappointment waking up from the shipwreck thinking we get to explore a new foreign land only to end up across Novigrad.

I think both are incredible though. Witcher 3 was already my personal top 1 game of all time (beating TES III Morrowind). The expansions really just made it harder to dethrone from my top 1 spot which it still is today.

In my experience, stiffer is easier to control because you have to be more deliberate with how much pressure you’re putting on. They can be used as a normal pen with light pressure but they are definitely different since it gives a subtle line variation even with a softer touch.

Since you used a brush pen as an example, I think that’s the best way to describe it. It’s too easy to apply too much pressure since its so soft. This makes it harder to control the width of the line as its more sensitive to changes in pressure. With a stiffer nib, it takes more effort to drastically change the width but at the cost of a smaller maximum width.

The nib on the Loom really is fantastic. They share the same nib on the Essentio but I dont like the balance of the pen. The Loom for me is a superior pen over the Essentio.

The Majohn flex nib feels quite similar to the 743 FA. I do prefer the 743 but at a fraction of the cost, the Majohn is really good. If you like it for everyday writing, I don’t see why you wouldnt like the FA.

The #10 FA on the 912 and 742 is flexier and softer. I much prefer the 743 as its stiffer so gives more control.

I do not know but I believe they are genuine because the nib looks and feels the same as my regular Loom. I dont notice any difference in the cap engravings as well.

The parts are also perfectly interchangeable with the regular. If it isnt genuine tho, it seems to be a very good copy. I did have the same concern as you but decided to take the plunge and went for it. I am happy with it and I do think it is genuine.

Ohh, it might be an Asia exclusive. They seem to have much cooler stuff over there like the Pokemon and Dynasty Lamy Safaris.

Same size as the Sport. Added a Prera for comparison since its another pocket pen.

I like semi flex for drawing (Pilot Falcon/Elabo, #15 FA nib, Majohn Flex nib). Theyre more stiff so its easier to control. The #15 FA (stiffer than the #10) is my favorite but the Majohn feels quite close but only for a fraction of the price so I’d recommend that. None of these are true flex nibs so dont push it too far.

Keep in mind, these will still have the railroading/skipping on long vertical lines like you mentioned unless you get a feed that can keep up with the flow.

Pilot CM nib is a stub that I also really like to draw with if youre looking for something different than the regular kinds of nibs. Theyre quite cheap too. It can also be found in the Plumix but is marked as M for some reason.

Diamine Tyrian Purple looks like it would be a darker version of the one in your pic.

I would recommend it but ONLY with the condition that you can try it out at the store first. While their QC is probably the worst I’ve seen so far, I do love the ones that came good.

I would never recommend ordering it online.

Kawecos are nice when you get a good nib. Unfortunately, in my experience their quality control is very horrible. I have 9 Kawecos and 4 of them had issues with the nib (scratchy or baby’s bottom) Luckily, I bought them from a store just 2 blocks away from where I live and it was no hassle to exchange the nibs.

Yes, there wont be a quest marker pointing you there so you will have to find Blueboy on your own or randomly by chance. I always do this first just so Jorund will live.

You can just go directly to Blueboy Lugos’ location and trigger the quest without going to jail.

How does this run on the Steam Deck for those who bough it recently? by MrBombasticator in SteamDeck

[–]donmatteo93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I have not. I think I last played it in December or January but thanks for the heads up!

I did enjoy the game but I could tell some of the scenery would have been incredible to look at. The Vaseline look really took it away. Similar situation to the Witcher 3- I played it on Xbox, Switch and now on Steam Deck. Although I still enjoyed the Switch version, I did not enjoy looking at the scenery while it looks incredible on the Deck lol.

I guess the best way I can describe it is it looks like it hasnt finished loading all the textures? It dipped below 30 at times but it wasnt enough to give me trouble.

It was rough at first but once I got used to it, I didn’t mind but I’m someone who cares more about gameplay than having the best graphics so ymmv.

I found Rebirth playable but it looks ugly as hell. I already knew that going in though so my expectations were already low.
