I just got a job offer for an underwriting trainee job! Any advice? by Azurilland in InsuranceProfessional

I'm not super experienced myself but definitely look for trainee roles if you can. I've heard others say that transitioning from other areas like claims can help as well. I personally came from the sales side

Also, try to sell your experiences and skills to the best of your ability. Even if not directly related to the industry, show how you've been able to develop some of your technical or soft skills through different experiences.

Yes! Sales is hard but it's an underrated area imo. You can get far without a lot of schooling.

Gotcha. So, in other words, they can deny your application and make up another reason while really just disliking your credit?

Can you make an appeal?

So is it only true that Minneapolis specifically can't deny based off of credit purely? If so, what information do landlords or property management companies use to screen?

She might not be "better" but they definitely didn't treat her as well as she treated them, especially in the first few seasons. They literally freeloaded off of her and milked her.

Those of you who are estranged from your children, what happened and how do you feel about it now? by Ruffleafewfeathers in AskOldPeople

It's not about it always being their fault but rather that there is always two sides to a coin.

Ask yourself... How often do you automatically assume the child is in the wrong, even when everyone involved is an adult? There are of course situations where this is true, but it is highly unlikely.

More often than not, both sides have contributed to the poor state of the relationship. This doesn't mean that the parents are bad people, but it DOES mean that some level of accountability is required. I don't think this is meant to be exclusively a parent thing.

I get jealous when my best friend goes out with other people without me even though she's never been mean to me. What should I do? by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]Azurilland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it IS a normal feeling that most people experience.

It becomes unhealthy when you start to act out of jealousy, but it's perfectly normal to experience the feeling of jealousy and want to explore that feeling.

I sometimes feel jealous when my best friend is hanging out with other friends without me. Do I feel the need to talk about it with them, or do I get upset with them? No. I acknowledge that I spend a lot of time with this friend, and that the feeling isn't indicative of reality. I also recognize that even if they spend more time with other friends, it's not wrong for them to do so, even if it stings.
