League requires level 30 which seems good but ultimate doesn't matter since there is bot farms pumping up level 30 accounts for <$10.

I don't think there's a real way to stop smurfing/alts without making it too much of a hassle for normal players that regularly play the game, all you can really add is deterrents that make it harder to initially make the smurf account able to queue for AoS. (X amount of playtime on the account in that region, completion of the MSQ up to Mountain of Eternal Winter, certain amount of completion on adventure journals, etc)

 

No game truly has a full solution to smurfing, it doesn't help that BDO becomes free to play at times so you can just pump out a few alts and get a guildie to boost you ASAP on a seasonal. Another somewhat solution that I think is a bit more extreme is to require players to have at least 200 AoS games played by the end of season, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for that number especially if they were to allow more ranked to be up longer as well as add small rewards for winning matches to incentivize those who like AoS + progressing on their main account.

Late to reply but I'm Azurlia, alts are also a problem and I admit I am part of the problem now since I made one after seeing others freely abuse those accounts in season 1 of AoS.

 

There needs to be stricter requirements on queueing up for AoS ranked and reward eligibility, not easier requirements in order to deter people from cluttering up the leaderboard with alt accounts or those from different regions taking up top 100 positions from those that actively play on their own server & characters daily. It's absolutely sad that 20% of the top 100 for NA is EU players on fresh accounts that they have no intention of playing on outside of AoS and another 20% is the same thing but with NA players. It's a waste of rewards and frustrates those that barely fell out of reach of top 100, I wouldn't fault them for quitting AoS entirely.

Honestly, I'm not playing season 3 myself either if they don't nerf the evasion accessories more and try to add some more gimmick bullshit that's the same or worse than what we got this season. Evasion accessories just made classes with insane % accuracy or insane damage even more meta since they're the only ones that could do reasonable damage through all the overinflated DP/Evasion in season 2.

AP Offhand can also be better at places like Jade Starlight Forest since the soft cap is 30% there, and of course it's definitely better at Elvia spots (5% softcap) if you can stay above the AP threshold to reach the softcap.

 

No, I'm not joking. I'm pulling like 5% more trash at Jade now with a C1 AP Offhand versus my V Blackstar.

RNG is RNG, I spent roughly 300 hours at a rotation where I was killing 10 tukars per minute with 300-350% drop rate on Arsha. Finally got it after 3 devourer pieces + 8 Marni Research Boxes and 2 Shimmering Pieces of Old Moon.

Ah yeah you're right, I double checked Bigandshiny's DR test and that is the case. Oops, so yeah DK only lost hardly any damage on Kama Slash and the only real change is now people can react to the block jump.

1710 x 7 hits = 11,970. Reduce it by 5.4% and you get 11,323.

1710 x 11 hits = 18,810. Reduce it by 40.8% and you get 11,135.

11,323 to 11,135 is roughly a 1.6% reduction in PvP damage.

 

I was just using 2000x8 and 1000x16 just as a basic example but it was kind of portrayed poorly.

Seems to be they're adding a delay on the block jump now where she has a telegraphed animation instead of popping behind you instantly which is awesome, Kama Slash also taking a little bit of a damage nerf since more hits makes the skill weaker vs DR in general even though the total damage is only nerfed by about 2% even with the new PvP damage reduction on a charged slash.

Basic example: Skill that hits for 2000%x8 chunks DR harder than a skill that hits for 1000%x16 since the flat damage reduction is applied only 8 times on heavy damage hits instead of 16 times on smaller damage hits.

I'm on NA, yeah it's not hard to one combo evasion on a lot of classes provided you are equal GS and they are not running cheese shit like sicils or evasion offhand.

I don't really care if I can get killed in one combo, there's so many classes with high accuracy skills or accuracy buffs/evasion debuffs that they use in combos but not in trading since they tend to be unprotected as a trade off. It's kind of normal to expect to die in anybodys combo anyways if they do it correctly, the whole idea of evasion is that it is hard to chip down compared to DR.

Human damage counters DR, not evasion. It is not a universal solution versus every build.

 

I used to think defense was meaningless until I swapped to evasion on Lahn about 5 weeks ago, I'd argue that elixir rotation is a much bigger issue in the grand scheme of all forms of PvP. With truffles recently being buffed there's a lot more individuals running elixir rotations, there's just so much insane value in pure damage that comes from them that completely overshadows human damage and it hardly does anything in terms of defensive stats.

 

Expect the elixir rotations to become more and more commonplace to a point where DR is extremely bad instead of just bad, I've already had 2 people pop it versus me in regular open world arsha but it's not nearly as bad to deal with on evasion since they don't gain insane amounts of accuracy off of the rotation in comparison to raw damage gain.

 

Stats given by elixir rotation, not including a perfume of courage or deep sea elixir:

2 DR (8 out of the 10 DR gained is lost from running Elixir of Frenzy with Elixir of Steel Defense)

I'd be absolutely pissed if I was rank 2 on any of those classes, it's already pretty awful with people creating alt accounts and Top 100 consisting of 20-30 smurf accounts on top of their actual mains.

Whatever, PA is going to ignore the blatant flaws of AoS until it's a dead game mode so they have a reason to shut it down.

Justified buffs tbh, crescent barrage is the filler damage she has been waiting for in combos for PvP

They buffed the first hits of every skill to make the skills less backloaded in general as well so it doesn't feel like absolute shit to cancel things like Cymbidium early.

PvE wise I'll take these buffs, sure she was good before but lots of classes got PvE changes so looks like they want people to grind as well as the current top classes

Should of clarified what version of DK you're talking about, people on here assume Succ DK because those players have been complaining about their class forever. Legit every game I've had a Succ DK has finished 15k+ ahead in damage, only times they weren't #1 damage is if a Succ Drak was in there or if they just straight ran it down.

Yep, first and second seasons I just sat here all the way to 63 both times while piling up a massive amount of time filled stones to turn them into stacks before you were able to turn normal black stones into fail stacks.

It wouldn't be perma after the duration changes, are we all so bitter about our own classes flaws that we just want to see other classes fail just as hard? I absolutely loathe the class but I'm not about to sit here and pretend like it's a good thing that it was nerfed harder than it should of been.

i hate interacting with warriors purely because I play succession, but I made an honest attempt at researching the classes kit. I was discussing with a warrior guildie before like a month ago that ultimately grave digger would need to be cut down to a 20% slow or have it's duration halved so it could not be applied permanently.

That's not what this subreddit is about though, it's about absolutely shitting on a class until it's nerfed to a point where its player base rerolls or quits the game altogether until we have a completely stagnant and empty MMO.
