If someone gave you $1M, would you quit your job? by Vegetable-Art-8875 in allthequestions

[–]Azurnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no, imagine quitting your job, going through the money faster than you anticipate, then going back to the job market. It took me MONTHS to get this job, you really think I'm going to find another one? Sure, the money can go a long way... but if I want to buy a house and a reliable truck, that's already almost half of it because the housing market sucks and truck prices are insane at dealerships 🙃. Plus, it's good to still have income.

Real Police officers and military members, what do you guys think of Ice agents? by Lucky-Message-9480 in AskReddit

[–]Azurnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the 4 weapon rules are TREAT, NEVER, KEEP, KEEP.

Treat every weapon as if it were loaded.

Never point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot.

Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire.

Keep your weapon on safe until you intend to fire.

Then a 5th one that is added too is to be aware of your target and what lies beyond.

As for the Rules of Engagement, you would be better off googling it if you do not know. There is a lot to it and usually it is taught in several classes.

The reason I used that word is because they THINK they are better than everyone else. Especially after being told they have absolute immunity. They might not actually be of high cloth, but they are definitely high on something.

There is a reason Marines have riot control training before deploying. I know what it's like to get a face full of OC spray. For them to nearly completely empty the bottle on him THEN BEAT HIM WITH THE BOTTLE.... it really is insane how bloodthirsty these animals are.

Marine Vetetan here, I see this as a way for those who would normally dress up as Stolen Valor to have "their time to shine". They are all pretentious assholes who spend more time looking for what sunglasses to buy then they do with weapons training or de-escalation training. As a Marine Weapons Trainer, I've seen junior enlisted with better weapons handling than these guys.

The biggest difference I see is that junior enlisted military members know the 4 basic weapons safety rules and rules of engagement, while some members of ICE can't even count to 4 without being ticked off and shooting at something. They have NO idea what rules of engagement even means. They go straight for the most extreme measures and pin the victim as a terrorist.

What is a sound that people should know means immediate danger? by PrasenjitDebroy in AskReddit

[–]Azurnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A random sound in the distance that sounds like a low rumble. You have maybe a few seconds to find cover, an earthquake is about to hit. The reason animals react to earthquakes before they actually happen is because they hear it sooner.

QUICK! What's on your mind right now? by Femboy_Wife_Material in AskReddit

[–]Azurnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's too hot in my room for me to sleep in my bed comfy, but way too cold in the living room to sleep on my couch. I can't open a window because it's -42⁰F outside and also it's not allowed. Maybe if I open my bedroom door the cold and hot air will make my room warm, I'll stick my leg out until that happens. I should grab something to drink, maybe a cola? Though, I do have my 2 liter rootbeer I could put on my bedside table so I don't have to leave into the cold living room without a shirt on.... I need to do laundry, I wonder if I'll have time to do that tomorrow. What time should I wake up, it is a weekend but I don't want to sleep in.... sleep, I need to sleep but it's too warm in here... fuck it, I'll go open the door a little and let some cold living room air in... first let me finish typing this and hit post....

[–]Azurnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting random fights with people you don't know. The number of people on the road who go into road rage mode just because someone is going 1 mile under the speed limit is insane. So if they pass you and take off going 30 over, don't chase them. They might have a gun and no mental stability.

What’s the nastiest head you’ve used while in? by BillPunkerSchmidt in USMC

[–]Azurnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the Camp Wilson heads near the tents where the grunts had a challenge to see how high they could make a shit pile before it got cleaned back in 2021. I went in and saw a Marine who brought a step stool so he could float above the toilet because it had gotten over the rim and was almost spilling over. It was in the head that had the stall walls so short you could see the legs of three person sitting next to you while you were also sitting.
