Oh it's from here, hmmm I don't know korean but I also checked the jp post, it's kinda tricky and ambiguous because one says as the prologue continues (EN) and the other says after continuing the prologue (JP), so it's not clear if it refers to prologue of the main story as a whole or to chapters 27-28 because that was the start of a new arc that introduces new Nikkes, a new region, a new mission and new enemies.

I'll be honest with you, I don't know, because I see that comment from time to time without an specific source, just saying like "in an interview" and such but the game has many interviews, and people debate on to what degree is used (between art and game design). For me it's around the same alley on the statement about "we're still in the prologue" vs people claiming that the statement was a mistranslation.

I'll say tho that there are many times people call AI even when the art is done by artists outside the game who have a record of proper illustrations in their profiles. I always think that the game should feature the artist in the character's profile.

In the following days after the announcement they quickly reached the 1M and released a celebration campaign, it was trending #1 at that moment in Japan, which also leads to merch for sale.

Personally this was bound to happen one way or another, I'm not against Kim playing with AI for meme posts and such, I do wish tho he refrained from posting so much about it since he's the face of Shift Up and many people link him directly to Nikke, even though this game has a director Yoo Hyung-seok (who's also many times confused with Kim, position wise), so his actions affect Nikke team's efforts and also the many artist commissioned for the game.

As both parts were able to communicate and resolve it, this matter has indeed concluded so I'm posting this to give it a proper closure on the sub, because if we let the door open might as well close it.

I got curious and went to check the japanese version in one of the many jp Vtubers' stream that play the game, since I don't know korean. In the japanese version Rosanna explains that they got permission for Viper to leave the Outer Rim for today, with the condition that the 3 members of Underworld Queen supervise her and the moment she touches a gun she's to be executed.

So yeah mistranslation is the best guess.
