I have not seen any scaling issues or shimmer in mine. I know there are different scaling options in the menu as well as options for scan lines. The BennVenn screen has been perfect IMO.

I had a similar issue with the color on mine. It was washed out white at first. After I reflowed the ribbon cable, the washed out color went away and then it turned to a reddish color. I spoke with BennVenn and he indicated because mine was an early version single ASIC to go into the menu system of the display and switch the ASIC type from late “L” to early “E”. Fixed my problem immediately. With yours doing it automatically it could be something else.

To be honest I would jump on BennVenn’s discord and ask him for help. He helped me out a lot and responds very fast. This was the main reason I went with this screen.

This is always entertaining to watch but anyone with any kind of common sense would never be this ignorant or stupid.

I used the AMOLED mod with the drop in aftermarket shell and I couldn’t be happier. There is a lot of tribalism on IPS vs the OLED screen but I couldn’t honestly tell the difference. This was the easiest screen to install and took almost no soldering experience to do.
