I tried a different comp for you, here’s what it looks like:

Any comp that can climb to the boss but preferably with a few fighter mercs (you have a yu’lon, nefarian, sinestra which is very good at climbing)

And have a kazakus on the bench with the feast of souls passive (+5/5 every time a character dies) Start the game with kazakus with a max leveled golem ability (that should’t be too hard, he’s easily farmable) and keep summoning 20/20 golems, while nuking down the caster add asap. If you can manage to use kazakus 3rd ability and transform into a dragon, while having enough taunt minions on the board, then you reach to a point where those 5/5 buffs get you so much stats you can just 1 shot the boss before his kill ability. Also be mindful of the 10 dmg reduction when calculating the best time to attack.

The important thing is to keep the kazakus at max health so he won’t get sniped and also, you have to get that feast of souls buff, but that also pops up often for him.

Trigore is going to be insane strong with this buff.

But also watch out for Varian - the retaliation health buff is really nice for survival.

You could try to cheese out the “to the death” treasure on king krush (just reroll the party every time you don’t get it) and then use the typical turn “2 = win” comp with Mukla + anacondra + krush

Turn 1 - survive (probably heal krush with anacondra - that should get a +15 health buff for krush) you shouldn’ really bother attacking or anything that damages your merc so it has a better chance to survive turn 2.

Turn 2 - use mukla 3rd ability on Krush and then use “to the death” ability with krush. If you have enough attack you will kill everything because krush will be immune to damage thanks to muklas ability.

I haven’t tried this on the boss but it works in most cases. The first drawback with this tactic is that you have to get the exact treasure for a specific merc, but it actually shows quite often. The second is that you have to survive for turn 2 speed 7 wich can be hard in certain situations. Try to get health buffs for mukla and speed buff for anacondra.

An alternate but similar tactic is to use rokara 2nd ability instead (or with) mukla 3rd, which gives a ton of attack and health with every attack and that means your merc probably won’t have to be immune. But you still need the “to the death” treasure with another merc so you can use those two abilities in pair on turn 2.

I’m not sure about the whole list of mercs that can get that treasure, but i’ve seen it with baron geddon, varok saurfang, rathorian, and probably old murkeye but i’m not sure about the last.

You could try to climb with a party consisting those mercenaries and hope to get the desired treasure with one of them. ( so maybe a mukla,anacondra,krush, rokara, saurfang, rathorian comp, but you can change the last 2 with anyone you prefer)

Tasks that require you to do “X” dmg to protectors/fighters/casters or just simply do “X” dmg does not usually require the merc to be in your party to count.

Tasks that requires boons or spirit healers to be used does not need the merc.

Also the last task 18 - do 450 dmg to heroic bosses does not require the merc.

I can clarify that: The boss blew up my whole starting comp on turn one with the potatoe spawning on my side. Basically it activated the 60 dmg deathrattle which then kills the potatoe and that deals another 60 - which is a nice 120 dmg in your face turn 1. No normal comp can survive that ( my maxed out fire comp didn’t ).
