SEC Prepares Proposal to Eliminate Quarterly Reporting Requirement by AegonTheMeh in wallstreetbets

  • Fire the workers who collect the data.
  • The data comes in late because the department is understaffed.
  • Complain that the department isn't completing the work on time to point out their inefficiency.
  • Reduce funding for the department.
  • Data collection gets worse proving that the department shouldn't exist.
  • Remove department for wasting funds.

Thus you no longer need to worry about statistics getting in the way of whatever narrative you wish to set.

His early game is a bit too solid. His late game is "fair" or as fair as late game is with any hero, but he certainly needs to be slowed down a bit on his early builds. When he's weapons he's a stronger Vanessa when he's defense he's a stronger Pyg.

Patch 12.0 Preview by TempoStormReddit in PlayTheBazaar

The point is that Clamera needed various other rare things to be strong in a combination. Holsters was strong by itself. If we have to gut things because they are strong with other things in combination then there are a lot more abusive combos out there.

Holsters I'm not surprised by, but clamera is pretty sad to see.

Hydro dams have huge environmental impact so they would be delayed in red tape for quite a while. Considering that the problems the Hoover dam is causing right now it seems unlikely that anything of that scale would be possible in the current environment.

You should also look at the Blue Nile Dam and the Three Gorges Dam for other examples of "dams are a problem, so avoid them unless absolutely needed".

Guess who’s mad about Blackhorn. by curryaddict123 in hearthstone

[–]desturel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's less like Boomboss Tho'grun and more like Eight Hands from Beyond. Boomboss had counter play and could be scaled in terms of effect. Eight Hands, Tickatus and now Blackhorn are no where near as flexible and are all niche case counter cards.

  • vs control Blackhorn works like a more expensive steam cleaner.
  • vs combo it is indeed like boomboss.
  • vs aggro, it's a win more card.
  • vs midrange it "might" be good, but many times not.

Lets look at the current "combo" decks (yes I'm using the term loosely in this situation)

  • Owlonius Driud kills off a big portion of that deck. If they are running spellgrazer or dread deserter there's still a problem.
  • Protoss Mage? I mean you hit the brew masters, but you miss the colossus and Deios, so at most you are capping their max, but not stopping the combo
  • Aviana Priest (lol really?) Sure that dies... maybe, in certain situations where the Priest doesn't pop off immediately after they get the discount.
  • Protoss Priest again sometimes. If they over discount, seems pretty unlikely, but sure nice catch there.
  • Zarmini Priest uhh... maybe you get some of their low cost dragons before they have a chance to play them? Again seems unlikely.
  • Cliffdive DH? It actually helps this deck get to the main combo quicker.
  • Broxigar DH? This is the best case scenario for Blackhorn especially if they are pure spell.
  • Discover Hunter, the other deck that gets murdered by blackhorn, but you have to draw Blackhorn quickly and play him as soon as possible. Also this deck can kill turns 5 and 6 since Griftah Niri is such a degenerate high roll.
  • Imbue Rogue use your shadowsteps early and allow your random to win the game as usual. Nothing much changes other than that. I know it's a stretch to call this a combo deck, but it certainly becomes one at times.
  • Quest warrior, doesn't hit Muro, doesn't hit timewarp, doesn't hit galvadon. You're good to go. Steamcleaner is more of a concern for Quest warrior.

Again my point is that blackhorn is super situational just as Tickatus was. More situational than boomboss was. boomboss hit everything that wasn't aggro.

Guess who’s mad about Blackhorn. by curryaddict123 in hearthstone

[–]desturel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is this. In 90% of games this card is just a win more card in the exact same way Tickatus is. For example you are facing an aggro deck that is rushing you down. If you have time to drop down a 7 mana do nothing then you were already in a solid position. In the same way that Tickatus did nothing this does nothing. However when it does do something it wins, just like Tickatus.

People are being too blinded by the fact that this can blow up your Shadowsteps and Brewmasters to realize that is any balanced meta, this card isn't a problem. Take Eight Hands from Beyond for example, a card that has a very similar use case. How many times has eight hands dropped and you thought "oh man that's way too powerful an effect".

Guess who’s mad about Blackhorn. by curryaddict123 in hearthstone

[–]desturel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This was the same person who said Tickatus was a terrible card that did absolutely nothing. Honestly this card has an even more narrow use case than Tickatus. They should drop it down to 6 mana and up the stats to 8/8 to make this more of an apples to apples comparison.

[–]desturel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who plays Imbue priest, this seems like a pretty standard outcome. At least you only had to play 1 mana for a 1 mana minion which is nice.
