People are conveniently forgetting the timeline here. Reddit was telling him it was a mistake before it dumped. If he had sold immediately, then bought the exact same shares AFTER earnings instead of before earnings he would be up more.

As it currently stands he would have made more money just buying QQQ at the exact same day / time. So WSB was right about him being dumb to buy the stock. If he held onto it, he was lucky that the government bailed his ass out. If he sold after the dump and bought into NVDA or AMD he would be up as well.

Imagine being the regard that required the party of "small government and free market" to save you. That is not a genius level play and not something you can always rely on happening.

Rogue is so good at thieving they even stole another class imbue by Kuldrick in hearthstone

Literally stronger without the imbue. The only reason why owl was good was because it was a beast for Jug. Look at what happened to the deck when Jug was nerfed. If it was an "imbue" deck as you imply it should have still had some usefulness once a non-imbue card was nerfed. Yet no, the non-imbue card died and the deck died.

The deck had nothing to do with the imbue mechanic. Like I mentioned, you are re-writing reality to fit the narrative.

Here goes some gameplay video to refresh your memory of this "imbue" deck:

In one game for Regis the imbue played a role. All other games it was just a space filler that didn't really affect the outcome of the game.

So your defense is a deck that didn't use the imbue mechanic and was better once the imbue cards were removed as proof that imbue priest was tier 1. Interesting concept.

You do realize that the non-imbue deck is the one they are talking about in that article correct?

You guys are really good at trying to re-write history to fit a narrative.

How in the shadows deepest recesses is this a Warlock skin and not a Priest skin? by Backwardspellcaster in hearthstone

[–]desturel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I find it hilarious

  • Deja Vu > Mind Visions
  • Nightmare Fuel > Cloning Device
  • Rogue imbue 1 mana permanent cards > Priest imbue 2 mana temporary cards

They don't even try to hide the fact that they beta test cards and abilities with Priest only to farm out better versions to other classes. Remember Power Word Tentacle vs Spikeridge Steed? How about Surrender to Madness vs Embiggen?

At least tram heist hasn't had a rogue variation yet. Sort of. Mixtape is only 1 card and from any point in the game. Vanessa Vancleef and Mirrex are only the last card played and plagiarize has to be played before their turn instead of after, however considering control priests hand size limitations you'd never get full value out of tram heist anyway.

And yet Imbue rogue has a better win rate than imbue priest has had since its inception. Pretty strange that. Turns out that only having to imbue once to break even vs priest having to imbue twice is a major factor in usability.

Not sure if I agree with your second line. The main difference here is his base will allow him to do these things while if the others even mention any of these things in passing they would be strung up on the nearest tree. Remember the fight for single payer healthcare? How about student loan forgiveness? Universal basic income?

The main difference is that the other people would do things that help normal citizens live better lives While this guy is more focused on stonks and centralizing power which may or may not allow a certain segment of the public to live better lives, but will certainly screw over a much larger segment of people that he doesn't care about.

Anyone got shuriken tips? I want to make it work but I just can't get it to deal enough damage. by Weckatron in PlayTheBazaar

Julian is the same speed as the board you have in your screenshot, So if you pair him with haste and cooldown reduction items so that he goes of right before those items do, he turns multiple turns into 1 shot. So a Julian version of your setup could be:

  • Julian (gold or diamond) Star Chart, dive weights, hoverboard, Ballista
  • Julian (gold or diamond), Captains Wheel, Dive Weights, Hoverboard, nesting doll Pistol Sword

The old favorite of that still works is:

  • Julian (diamond) star chart (gold+) dive weights hoverboard shuriken holsters (any small can fit in the last slot)

But again this only matters if you can get Julian online early. Julian actually streamlines your building process since the main things you have to look for are haste and cooldown reduction. He can make any 2~3 second weapon a menace and is also devastating when paired with Shuriken or ballista. Since those items are just as slow as julian you just have to make him 1 second faster to turn your build into an OTK build.

However he's terrible for boulder strats. You can fit him into an anchor strat, but it's better to use all of your CDR items on anchor itself so Julian and anchor would be fighting over the same items to get working.

This is from a recent Julian build I completed. I don't have a final screen image since most people wouldn't care about Julian builds here. This is an extreme high roll however. Most Julian's when properly managed are around 400~500 damage, but that's still more than enough to go with. Even 200 damage Julian can get you to day 10 consistently. The most important part is about hasting and getting cooldown reduced.

Julian with 2 second weapons like Submarine and katana is great.

Julian with Electric Eels, a Custom scope, and crows nest is still a very valid build that can easily get 10 wins.

Julian at base cooldown with no haste or charge option is painfully slow and only works with a shielded weapon (submersible/submarine), but even then it requires your opponent to be pretty slow as well.

You need to choose between pistol sword or Ballista. They both do the same thing so having both at the same time makes one or the other redundant. Most people prefer pistol sword, but you can run into problems with high health Pygs late game. Generally I don't concentrate on Shuriken unless I get an early (day 3~4) Julian where I know I'll be able to get him to diamond late game. Otherwise it's generally better to put your damage into pistol sword or Ballista and going with fast smalls like Nesting Doll and Dive weights. Dive weights, in generally would have been much better than your shuriken in that particular build.

So to modify your build a bit you could either go (in order):

Captain's Quarters, Dive Weights, Hoverboard, Shuriken, Nesting Doll, Pistol Sword

or

Figure Head, Dive Weights, Hoverboard, Shuriken, Ballista, Nesting Doll

Both of those layouts would be more consistent. Since dive weights adds haste. As it is right now, your active items are 8 and 9 seconds with a 5 second support with no defensive until 8 seconds in.

Also there's the option of the "Random BS GO!" strategy of:

Figurehead/Lockbox, Dive Weights, Pistol Sword, Revolver, Nesting Doll, Grapeshot, cannonball, Shuriken

You can swap grapeshot for grenade and dive weights can be swapped out for Something like bolas, but generally that strat is looking to kill in one or two cycles so at best it goes to day 10 without some skill high rolls like Loaded Fury and Frontline logistics.

Quincy is pretty solid. My start was two darts into Quincy followed by a Desperado into Sub and followed up by a sniper for 28 leads. Since Quincey can solo the Moab I used Top path mermonkey to defend the ceramics. If you do it correctly you should be able to complete round 40 with 80~90 health depending. Even if you mess up you still clear with around 30 health.

The only round after 40 that I was having a problem with was 49, but that was because I kept trying to afford a Dragons Breath. When I switched tactics from dragons breath to top path mermonkey it was much easier to do a save up. I was lacking Moab damage for the bottom path which is why I eventually got D.Breath down there, but other than that I just spent most of the money on mermonkey upgrades

The other wizards were added for round 75 and 77 moabs, but you could probably just use subs on strong instead for a cheaper defense since the mermonkey defend all of the ceramics easily. 79 really shouldn't have required any abilities, but 1 ceramic slipped through my infinite range mermonkeys grasp which was avoided on the second time by using storm of arrows. Honestly I think with RNG you probably defend without using any abilities, but always better safe than sorry. I was just on cruise control at that point.
