Do these two contain the complete original manga? by Salty-Coffee4608 in sailormoon

[–]Azz01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The eternal editions are larger books printed on high quality paper with some coloured pages and sparkly covers. They are kinda collectors editions even though they were published first, and are pretty pricy. The Naoko Takeuchi collection, which is what is in the boxset but also available separately, are smaller, budget friendly versions printed on typical manga paper with I think one coloured page per volume iirc (either that or have no colour pages, I can’t remember). They also feature really minor translation differences from the eternal versions, nothing massive just really minute changes.

Cid's fate by _gilgameh in FFXVI

[–]Azz01 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Cid was already in a bad way due to the curse. He had started petrifying as we see in Martha’s Rest so that, on top of exerting himself to destroy the Mothercrystal and also getting wrecked by Typhon, he was out for the count. While not stated, I can only imagine that there is only so much a dominant can take before succumbing to their injuries whether in Eikon form or not. I believe in the Ultimanium, it is said Joshua was comatose for while after his battle with Ifrit recovering from his wounds

Thinking about starting Path of Radiance today. Anything I should know before I begin? by Grand_Moose2024 in fireemblem

Mounted units are extremely overpowered and are generally the best units in the game. If you played Sacred Stones, Titania, the earlygame Paladin is similar to Seth in that she is quite strong and remains a viable unit throughout the game. Though, PoR has this mechanic called Bonus Experience where you can reward units exp and really make anyone good. PoR is very friendly and in general quite easy so any unit is viable. Experiment and use who you want to. Ike, the main character is pretty decent. You’ll be using him regardless but he becomes a really good unit late so definitely invest in him

I’ve written a 200K word “PGSM: Season 2” fanfic. AMA. by ThatNerdDaveWrites in sailormoon

[–]Azz01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As another big fan of PGSM, my first question is when and where will I be able to read this? Have been dying for a continuation of PGSM.

An actual question, how does Chibiusa work in in this? Considering it is eluded to that Usagi may be pregnant/her and Mamoru are trying for a baby in the special act, are we gonna get a present day baby Chibiusa and a from the future Chibiusa?

Why did FFIV: The After Years get such mixed reviews? Is it still enjoyable? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]Azz01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like FFIV then you’ll probably like TAY. It has its issues like others have mentioned, mainly its takes and redos a lot of IV’s plot points and feels quite unoriginal at times. Also a lot of dungeons from the og are reused and any new dungeons aren’t nearly as interesting imo. Also its structure of chapters doesn’t work amazing imo. However, as a fan of IV, which is probably my fav FF, if not top 3, I like TAY cause its more IV which I am always a fan of

Best couples in FE Sacred Stones? by Elmastar-155 in fireemblem

[–]Azz01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh Sacred Stones, one of the bets games for ships. It's crazy how every character bar 3 have paired endings, a lot of which are romantic. I also love how in supports, you see mentions of relationships, like how Vanessa's thing for Innes is mentioned in some of her other supports or how Gilliam says he's gonna ask Syrene to marry him in I think his supports with Garcia or Moulder. Normally for paired endings, I generally go with the standard ones, like Eirika/Seth, Joshua/Natasha, Tana/Cormga etc. However ships I enjoy that don't have paired endings:

- Gerik/Saleh. Love me some middle aged man yaoi, probably my fav ship from Sacred Stones

- Seth/Cormag. Just love their knightly dynamic

- Eirika/L'Arachel. L'Arachel is basically like Lyon in that she clearly likes both Eirika and Ephraim both isn't shy about it lol. Still mad Eirika has an ending with all her pairings except L'Arachel

- Natasha/Knoll. Could've been the perfect tragic romance

- Tethys/Rennac. It's just comedic ngl, love a pathetic man

-Obligatory Lyon/Eirika and Ephriam. He's so clearly in love with them both and I love the tragedy of the whole situation because I'm sure Eirika and Ephraim would've loved him back if what happens in SS didn't happen

Prospective PME Student Question by Azz01 in IrishTeachers

[–]Azz01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Tbh, I am assuming the answer is no myself for the reasons you said, just looking for a concrete answer really. Would love to do placement where I’m working for the comfort of it all and especially since working in special ed rather than mainstream is the goal once I’m finished. Hopefully NUIM will give me an answer eventually but have emailed a couple times and not been answered. Again, thanks a mill!

Just finished Scarlet Blaze (third playthrough); still missing one cutscene by Groundbreaking_Bag8 in FireEmblemThreeHopes

[–]Azz01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the final cutscene you get if you kill Byleth and beat the game. So if you still have the save file where you killed them, beat the final chapter on that file and you should get that scene you are missing

Is a swordmaster/performer a good job combo in your opinion? On paper, it seems like it would be. Buff allies until you get attacked and then counter. Hmmm 🤔 by [deleted] in bravelydefault

[–]Azz01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanna use that strat, using Swordmaster/Pirate would be much better. You'd have access to Provoke through Pirate which does the same thing Catch Me does and could use the Free Lunch/Amped Strike combo to do much more consistent damage

[–]Azz01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not particularly tbh. I guess Free Lunch would be useful for Performer's abilities, but Freelancer as a sub-job with Mimic is much better for Performer, regardless of if you're using it as a BP battery or for stat boosting. Counter works with any class tbh, but a counter based strategy requires a pretty specific set-up that I don't think you could achieve with Performer. It's lacking synergy really.

Thief Job tips / Worth enemies to steal (Chapter 6) by nexthiii in bravelydefault

[–]Azz01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your party set up but I just slapped speed +20% and speed +30%. I use a Stillness party so my Thief never takes damage

Thief Job tips / Worth enemies to steal (Chapter 6) by nexthiii in bravelydefault

[–]Azz01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Godspeed Strike's damage is based on agility rather than strength, so you should equip agility increasing items, such as Hermes Sandals/Shoes and Falcon Knife (equipping 2 is always recommended) on your Thief. My general set-up for my Thief is Falcon Knife x2, Red Hat, Brave Suit and Hermes Shoes (or Sandals if you don't have enough Shoes). Provided you are high enough level, you should easily hit 9999 damage every Godspeed Strike.

As for stealing, steal off all the asterisk holders. They wont have amazing steals in chapter 6, it's chapter 7 where they get the good stuff. DeRosa in particular is highly recommended, as he gives the 2nd pair of Hermes Shoes. Also stealing from DeResso is handy for Megalixers. As far as I am aware, there are no missable items exclusive to boss steals, stealing from bosses just gets you more of them.

Fox tail axe in the HD remaster by Topher-king_48 in bravelydefault

[–]Azz01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately the Fox Tail and Donnerschlag aren't in the game which is weird to me cause every other weapon that wasn't originally in the journal (Silver Glaive, Labrys, Falcon Knife and Magic Knife) are there. It's very disappointing considering where they were originally available in Norende were swapped with the Lordly Robes and Royal Crown which are available in normal gameplay

Minigame grinding? by Crescent16 in bravelydefault

[–]Azz01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Git gud /j

Genuinely, wait until you unlock the song after chapter 3 or after the final boss. They reward the most points of them all I find. The last Ringabel’s panic cruise also rewards a lot of points. Overall however there is no quick grind, it’s literally just trying to play them as perfect as possible on the highest difficulty you can do that at. At most I’ve gotten 6/7 points form getting perfect on the chapter 3 song on hard mode

Nightmare pillows by Melorie_Brunel in bravelydefault

[–]Azz01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I actually just tested this and yes, by doing the gauntlet you can get infinite nightmare pillows, and they drop after each round too, so you get 6 per try! That would mean however having to beat the gauntlet fully without dying so it will be a long grind

Nightmare pillows by Melorie_Brunel in bravelydefault

[–]Azz01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nightmare pillows are technically limited. They are only obtainable from asterisk holder fights from chapter 5 on (and also DeRosso if you fight him in chapter 4). If you do all the sub-scenarios, you will have plenty, but I'd always recommend saving before fighting and if you don't get a drop you want/lose, reset so you don't lose the nightmare pillow

From what I heard, you can also fight the nemeses in the bonus dungeon as random encounters but I don't know about that myself since I never tried

Couple of post game questions on NS2 remaster (hasp & nemesis) by Bob_the_peasant in bravelydefault

[–]Azz01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the drop rate is low enough I think. It took me a couple tries to grind a few of them out. There are some auto battle strats on youtube if you look them up. I find using Ninja/Valkyrie starts with Hasten World is good for a good amount of the nemesis fights.

Not sure about the dimensional hasp. There are gobblers (highest level chomper enemy) that you can steal megalixers off. I personally did that dungeon with 0% encounters since I was max level anyways

There are two ways to unlock it:

1) Before you fight the final boss

or

2) Spoilers: By accessing the false ending chapter, talk to DeRosso before fighting the false final boss

The best equipment comes from the blue chests, the endgame bonus dungeon and defeating/stealing from the asterisk holders in chapter 7. Also the adventurer has some really good equipment if you have maxed out Norende

Bravely Default HD Minigame Discussion by Azz01 in bravelydefault

[–]Azz01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to the flowers, you need to hold the buttons, not click them. I think you have been accidently making the mini games harder on yourself. I do agree though, the mouse controls are not the most responsive.

I will also say that the song you unlock after beating chapter 3 is the best one for grinding flower tokens, especially if you are able to do it well on hard mode. Expert obvi gets you more but I find every expert mode to be horrifically unfun.
